Posted , 7 users are following.

Hi for the last few months I have been suffering from various conditions it feels like every week I'm going to my GP with different symptoms, it started with the following:

Abdominal pain

Pelvic pain

Bloating

Dizziness when walking

Shortness of breathe

Eyesight worsening

Chest pain

I have now been suffering with

Chronic lower back pain

Chronic neck pain

Severe headaches

Difficult sleeping

Extreme exhaustion

And I have suffered with IBS and depressionfor many years. I don't really suffer with muscle pain.

I am currently off work as I was in so much pain and just couldn't concentrate so any help or advice would be appreciated. I have had pelvic and abdominal scan, urine and blood tests that all came back clear. I'm going back to GP on Monday.

what ever it is it needs sorting so you know what your dealing with and which way you want to go with treatment .

get your gp to do the pressure point test if all  or most are tender and painful ask him to be reffered to a rhemotolgist for confimation

thats what i did. if you put a internet  search in for the firbro pain points , it should show you were they are . use it when you go to your doctors.

        good luck tina

Thyroid symptoms and Fibro are so closely related. MANY MANY do not get their sluggish thyroids supported. I went 10 long miserable years trying to get what I believed was a sluggish thyroid "fixed" and the doc kept living by numbers from the labs.....we are NOT numbers.....

We are a lot of symptoms and if thyroid is not working good, we can get hit with a lot of issues.....

I believe that to be true when I was hit with Fibro in 1999, finally got my thyroid addressed by a different doc (osteopath) and believe had it been fixed years earlier, the FM issue wouldn't be what it is.

    Google: Fibro and Thyroid.

i have . joy and i have mentioned it again when i went to get my yearly blood tests , but he just looks at me and does the basic tests and his the best in the surgery . his doing the fasting ones again but i will excpect

they will come back border line.

we are hoping to move by next year to a larger town , so i will look for a homeopath that listens to the whole picture,

my accupunturests is going to ask a college who did  a accupunture course dealing with nutrition as she is voxed by the type of foods that upsets me . and the stuff that dosent ,and why i have such strong cravings for food that upsets me. so lets hope that between them they come up with an answer.  regards tina

Hi Tina, and as I said MOST docs are ignorant on the thyroid issue, I know that 10 long years with an uninformed MD.....

or informed only to his learnings.

I believe MOST older md's are more in turn with this sluggish thyroid issue....too many go by the "normal" numbers......joy

i will look it up joy. thanks.

common sense tells me that people dont fall asleep standing up or in a shower. and if everything eles wears out with age then why not the thyroid its as old as the rest of you .

have you ever come across a magazine called WDDTY . what doctors dont tell you , iv been reading it for years for a balanced approach . its a on line magazine as well as a physical magazine .

                  regards tina

I haven't read that particular book, but I know there are many about the doctor/pharma world...

MOST of my close friends are all into alternative healing and we help one another.

My first magazine many years ago was Prevention and then years later I was inroduced to Alternative Medicine Magazine....I devoured that Alternative Mag, couldn't wait for my issue to arrive monthly.

I have spent so many HOURS and DAYS and YEARS on alternative healing.

well done joy , i v been also trying for years to get a balanced approch

of course if you break a leg you need a hospital , but also if you add the right remedies from the alternatives then the bone will heal a lot quicker and stronger. and proberly with less pain.

WDDTY. can be acessed on line , free for certain things if you want more info you can subscribe,

have you ever tried distant healing using the little black box ,i found this fascinating apparently it works for animals really well . maybe because they dont question just trust .

it did help with balancing my moods but it got to expensive to keep up .sorry i cant remember the name of it . but i am sure a lady with your knowledge knows what i mean.

                        KEEP WELL, TINA

No, never did any long distance type healing....only long distance muscle testing and pendulum dowsing and offer suggestions....

I KNOW what has helped me a lot and know what has not...

I do believe Adreanals are a major part of the Fibro issue...years of stress many live thru and then one major one pushed me to the FM stuff.....yes I call it stuff....and I remember like it was yesterday the trauma my body went thru in July 1999....

      Thyroid too, Vit D too....

yes i went thru years of stress and i had several medium sized  traumas that pushed me over into FM. i agree  your whole body needs to work to avoid illness .

,if one part of the chain is broke the body will become out of balance and then alsorts will go wrong

adrenals and other glands are there  as you know to help the body function if they do not work proberly then of course you get ill.

after my diagnosis from a ruemotologist I asked them if they did any tests to rule out thyroid issues. They said NO. Why wouldnt they???? If these two diseases are so closely related you would think thats the first thing they do. I went back to my GP and she said your skin looks fine your hairs not falling out and your too young. My mom had her thyroid removed and they still wouldnt do it. My question is.. What did they do/give you for your thyroid and did it help your symptoms at all?

janet, I take Armour which is dessicated thyroid support...not synthetic but from the pig's gland. Armour has been in the U.S. forever, I believe it was the first thyroid support out there.

I went 10 long years with depression and once finally on armour the depression lifted in 4 days.

You mean they removed your mom's thyroid and never did any tests!!!! Why did they do the removal.

You may not need thyroid help but I did for 10 long years and then hit with Fibro 3 yrs before I got thyroid help....my thyroid was weak, and not strong enough to handle the trauma that pushed me to the FM condition..

I can only give you my experiences and I was 53 when I first suspected and didn't get help until 63.....

Do some reading, there are many books on HypoT ,and it's many symptoms.

hi joy have you read the research done at the Bassett medical center in new york ,on pain killers such as asprin and ibobrufen .that states that using these on a regular basis  increases your risk signifcantly of deep vein thromboses.

6 case studies were reannalysed involving 21,401 people. source . Rheumatology 2014, doi. 10.1093/R/keu 408. regards tina

Tina, I know all the warnings on these but what does one do for a body full of pain? Meditating does help but does not do it all believe me and I'm as alternative as they come.

i was not implying anything joy i just wondered if you had read the article .

normaly people acuse these studies of being only of small groups of people so not a true representive of the out come.but i didnt think that 21.408 was a small number.

i know a lot of people live on these i know your not one, iv even known people take ibobruven tablets and use the cream as well along side big and dangerous mistake ,as i am sure you know.

this can lead to internal bleeding. please dont think that i am having ago i am really not just thought you would be interested . we all have to do what we can .

iv found differant ways to many others but i am only to aware thats what is right for one isent for another. keep well tina

Tina, I know you were not implying and I know there isn't a drug out there that does not have a list of possible side effects, some lists longer than many.

Maybe my Armour thyroid support doesn't have side effects, I never looked that up.The blood pressure meds I take have their own list of side effects....

It's a vicious cycle of the drugs.... J
