I know the feeling cheryl.  I've had arthritis since 26 I'm 52 now.  Had a left  hip 9 months ago and right knee 4 months ago and I feel like a different person.  Can do things I haven't been able to do for years I feel like I'm getting my life back.

Fantastic! It is pure joy to constantly realise that one is no longer disabled! I get a bit of a stiff knee sometimes and find walking down stairs a bit awkward, but wow! My life is transformed! Just over five months post op now.

How horrible to have had 12 years of pain, don't know how you managed it! But what a joy your life is now opened up . So glad for you!

Use walking up and down stairs as exercise, keep doing it and that awkward thing will stop.
