Having internal body vibrations/buzzing.

I've been experiencing these body vibrations/buzzing for about 2 months now. It started out mostly at night waking me up between 1am to 4am..if I try to sleep through it it gets worse and even into my head. I've had several really bad mornings where its been so bad I get out of bed in a panic wondering what is wrong...of course this has lead to very little sleep the last couple months. Lately it goes on all day too. At night I can "calm" it with a glass of wine but only to wake up vibrating again. I've been taking anxiety meds and they have no effect. Tried muscle relaxers and they have no effect. I've changed my diet and taking vitamins with no effect. I'm 50 years old and pre pausel as I've had on full period I'm 7 months. Im so tired of dealing with this. Anyone else having this same thing? If so what have they done about it?.I have a doctors app. in two days.

Are you still having the internal vibrations?
i started getting this 3 months ago after starting BUSPAR (which i quit after 3 weeks). Mine get worse after physical activity, most meds, being sick and from my period. I'm 47 and otherwise healthy. My PCP and s neuro have no idea... gonna try an MRI just to see...

Yes I am...and also the dizziness has gotten worse again. It had died down quite a bit but these symptoms seem to run in cycles. One thing will be worse while everything else is subdued.. then something else will flare up and everything else will be subdued... There's no rhyme or reason to any of it. I had MRI's of my neck and my head and two neurologists said they are normal.

My tongue also would go numb and even though nerve testing, MRI's, brain, all come out okay. I still have central nervous issues, weakness and vibration. I've seen 3 neurologists. Fibro was horrible. Please make sure you find an atlas chiropractor to make sure your atlas bone (very top of spine) is on correctly. Everything goes through this bone. My atlas chiropractor felt that the ligaments may be the culprit. On October 5 I had stem cell therapy performed. Because my whole body is effected he may have to do several tries. I finally feel some difference. I have been able to back off gabapentin (from 2,400mg down to 100 or none). I had 2-1/2 weeks of my atlas staying in place; thereby the nerves were able to finally start healing. However, when the atlas goes off, very traumatic again. But now I am finding better ways to handle pain. Of course, I still do minimal stuff because stem cell can take up to 6 months. But I have hope. Don't give up. There was no rhyme or reason for what happens to me, that is how my atlas chiropractor realized it may be the weakness of ligaments. This is a slow process, but hoping the stem cell continues to get better. Please keep searching. Someone may have the answer.

Hi, glad to have this site! I've been having this too for almost 3 months now. But my age is a tad bit older than y'all. I'm 62 and about 15 years post. This is one of the most horrible things I think that has happened in my life. It's such a horrible feeling and everyone thinks I'm crazy! They all say it's caused by anxiety! I have panic and anxiety disorder, have had it for some 30 years so I do know the difference. Going through this site and many others you would think someone would find something that has happened to us. Dr.s have never heard of this. There are so many of us you would think the medical community would know of something!

I've kept notes for 4 years and have researched as much as possible trying to get to the bottom of this. I have been diagnosed with POTS, Autonaumic Dysfunction, Autonaumic Nervous System Disorder, WPW and several others. I have written numerous notes to my doctor and this is one of them.

In bed but awake. Heart racing. Some type of seizure where I was having difficulty breathing, wanting to get up to check heart rate. Felt lightheaded, buzzing through body. I do this often. Ok this time I noticed an eerie bright light like a round swirling glow of bright light in front of my vision. The room was dark as lights were out yet I could see this bright swirling ball of light before my vision. Frightened me a bit. Then I turn over onto my left side thinking I need to slow my heart rate down so I turn so as to cause the heart to shift a bit on the left side thinking it might relax. I lay there for a few minutes as breathing was a little better. All of the sudden after this light swirling like bright yellow sun like luminous glow in my vision began I could feel this odd and creepy electrical shock type sensation move over my face and right arm. It’s as if the hair was standing straight up on my face and arm and I was feeling this intense electrical charge . Static electricity and then some. Then the body tremor was starting like I felt like I’m holding onto a machine gun or electric fence. The bed isn’t shaking- as usual... It’s my body tremors! So before I made this note and as of about 10 minutes ago I had the cars engine running. The vibration of the car engine while I’m sitting here was so disturbing and uncomfortable because it triggers my anxiety of having another electrical tremor. It almost feels as if any such movement like vibrational will or could trigger a full body electrical tremor again. I’m really not liking these awful tremors. These body tremors have been going on at least since 2014 as I go back on my notes and recorded events. Muscle twitching has seemingly increased in the past 6 months... Muscle twitching and muscle weakness I wonder if caused by magnesium deficiency or something else? My eye muscles, arm muscles and thigh muscles will twitch/ jump for an ongoing week or more in random places. Then when these odd symptoms are present I find it difficult to swallow. For whatever reason it feels like my throat muscles quit working. Makes me panic when my throat muscles don’t work. Creepy!

It's going on a year for me since my symptoms started. I have a hysterectomy in April of 2008 and this only started in March of 2018 so 10 years later. Along with a plethora of other doctors I also visited the OBGYN who looked at me like I was crazy. You'd think being a woman that she'd be a little more sympathetic but she was a younger woman who obviously is too young to have experienced this herself.I was thinking of trying to search out and older female OBGYN that has experienced this herself. Just not sure how to do that....

oh.. And this OBGYN confirmed that I'm post menopause. I never had any symptoms prior to this at all.

i have had vibrations for the last 4-5 years.
my doctors have not helped much and I am now selling my house as i think the vibrations are due to where I live
this is the first forum that makes sense to me, as I have had several neck injuries, whiplash.
i am so exasperated with the vibrations that feel like buzzing, electrical currents in legs and body, also ear right in particular, with earache at times

i have had the buzzing feeling and pressure in the head and ringing in the ears. this week i finally have found the answer for me. I went to the Gp again and he had no answer so I said maybe it could be my sinus. he gave me a nasal spray but it read up on steroids and decided to try a natural cure and found nasal irrigation. look up chronic sinus infection treatment bulletproof. I found made a cup of sterile water with half tsp of salt and pinch baking soda, cooled, and held it to my nose tilting it slightly and sucked it up through my nose into my mouth and spat it out. repeat a few times. a lot of horrible stuff came out. my nose has never been so clear and the weird feelings in my head have gone after months of suffering. please try this even though it sounds disgusting as it may work for you too. i believe the pressure in my head was pressing on nerves and my brain causing the strange sensations. i also massaged the base of my skull at the back and around my ears and along the top of my head i could literally feel the fluid draining down my throat. have a try and see if it helps.

Hello,. I have been experiencing the weird buzzing, vibrating symptoms. I am 2 years into menopause and these symptoms have gradually come from nothing and got worse. I too have taken a myriad of supplements that have made little impact. One thing I have discovered just lately by private test, is that my morning saliva cortisol level is extremely high. Im wondering if this is part of the puzzle. As cortisol is very distructive, if chronically high over a long period of time, it definitely affects blood sugars, and can also cause low stomach acid, which leads to a malabsorption of all sorts of critical vitamins and minerals need for neurotransmitters etc. also high cortisol and high blood sugar can affect the liver, which is responsible for all sorts of detox pathways. There is loads of information out there on the internet, its just making sense of it all! I personally am following a ketogenic diet but with vegetables, so no processed carbs or fast carbs. I have only just started this and also take things like apple cider vinegar and betaine hcl, as I believe I have low stomach acid. its all a huge learning curve, I wish there was some sort of medical professional to guide me. Im wondering if this is a path of investigation that anyone on this forum should also look in to??

Try nasal irrigation with saline solution and see if it helps. its easy and free and it has made me feel much better. i think i had been living with a low level infection in my sinuses for many years . look up nasal irrigation bulletproof. i felt dizzy, heard buzzy noises, felt electric shocks. i think it was impacting my brain. also try massaging sinuses once you have rinsed them, around nose ear forehead and base of skull. i had liquid pouring down the back of my throat for days but now my airways feel so clear and my head feels normal for the first time in years.

yes exactly the same with me, digestive issues, tinnitus. i feel it is menopause related. i have had the buzzing since start of 2017 and yes it keeps me awake. it seems to be related to sugar and stress, but not stress coming from my thoughts/emotions, altho Im pretty sure my symptoms also caused anxiety when they first started. i am following a no sugar diet and have done some expensive tests, which are suggestive of SIBO. the tests identified that I was short on several nutrients, including protein! which is odd as I basically eat meat and vegetables and some berries! it seems to me that eating causes my body stress, which would make sense if bacteria are in the wrong place absorbing all my nutrients. also maybe a connection with low stomach acid, I believe, but stress affects blood supply to guts so again makes sense. i also dont experience hunger feelings which really concerns me that it is something more serious, but I am still standing . also b12 is affected. My doctor is not sympathetic at all - hence why private, my Mum is helping me with money!?! - its a work in progress at the moment so no conclusive answer yet. sorry that you and everyone else who is experiencing this, are having to go through this, but we are not alone.
