Don't know why, but this site has deleted one of my posts.

    .Epley manoeuvre .

last few days I've been very unbalanced whilst walking. Effected ear has also worsened. Less able to hear out of it.

Hi peter,I had the ent doctor do the epley manoeuvre yesterday morning since then I've got chronic ear pains, feel more dizzy, spaced out and ears feel blocked so my hearing is weakened, its definitely made me worse as I'm back to square one when I haven't felt this bad in weeks

Reading up on these type of exercises on the Internet ( from people who have undergone them) it would appear that your experience is a typical one. In that it is expected to feel worse afterwards, but that's part of the 'cure' and it's to get the brain working on compensating for the damage done to the vestibular system ? My understanding is the Epley manoeuvre is only used to try and treat the symptoms of BPPV ( benign positional vertigo ) where crystals have become dislodged and have moved into the incorrect chamber within the middle ear, and are sending confusing messages to the brain re balance /positioning of the body.t the manoeuvres are to try and correctly reposition them.
