yes i have been going through it 2 years now. i have had test done possible , seen a variety of drs , been told many diffrent "reasons" and still no relief !

next step is massage therapy and x rays of my neck as that is the only thing i havent done. Def think its neck related some how and eye related

I have very similar symptoms and suffering from it since 2013, i have been to so many places but no one could tell me exactly what caused these symptoms. I have also another symptoms that my neck goes too tensed and cause too much in comfort it goes too crackly and I feel the urge of having a big crack so I keep stretching and tilting my head somehow to get a relief. I am taking Amitrypteline 25mg daily just to calm it down a bit but not helping a lot. I wonder if we can keep in touch and let's keep each other posted in case one finds some cure.

I too have been suffering from a continuous headache now for over 10 years. i have tried numerous drugs including gabapentin, amitriptyline, tylenol 3, other antidepressants, muscle relaxers anti inflamatories, and my doctor even gave me a few hydromorphone to try because he knew i wouldn't abuse it. Nothing has helped. I have a massage every three weeks and have tried osteopathy as well. I am currently on 20 mg amitriptyline and trying to come off the gabapentin (was on 1200mg and now taking 200 at bedtime). The withdrawal effects from the gabapentin are horrible but I am trying to stick with it. I have always had really tight shoulders and neck, taught Phys ed for 30 years and i have now been retired since 2011. The worst part of the headache is in my left eye and because it does not effect the back of the head we are not sure what is causing it. It's an intense burning pressure pain which is intensified the longer I am up. I can close my eyes and I can see the blood vessel throbbing. Laying down intensifies the throbbing so I am damned if I am up and damned if I am laying down. The only relief I get is when I am sleeping. Because I look good and sound good, people assume I am fine and that I am exaggerating and it can't be that bad, but it is. I have had numerous tests, which have all been normal, but this is anything BUT normal. I have quantity of life but not quality. Sometimes it feels like both temples and eyes are painful but the worst is the left eye. sometimes I will go through a period where the pain is more bearable and I can get out and do things but the last couple of months have been hell and like you I see no end to this. I am supposed to have a video chat with the headache specialist in May so I am trying to hang in there. We tried an injection for migraines but that didn't work either and I had to be off that for 3 months before they could try something else. Hence I have nothing to suggest but you are not alone in this fight. My family doctor has tried a number of things as well. At least he us understanding and he sees me every 4 weeks to check on me to see how I am doing, although it has been 2 and a half months since I have seen him since I am trying to avoid going places due to Covid 19. If you hear of any other suggestions, I would love to hear from you.

Thats such a true statement.....quanity not quality. I too am waiting for this to covid to clear out some so i can get my x rays. Keep us posted !!!

Thank you for the reply Tonia. I find I post and follow for a while and then I just get so frustrated with how I feel that I stay away from it for a while. I keep hoping someone will find something that works.

      Thank you.

Hi, im sorry to hear what youre going through right now. Im a 21 yr old guy, I've been dealing with similar symptoms for years. i have this intense head pressure (which is not painful) but is so intense like it was coming from my roof of mouth connecting to the front, top and back of my head, its just depressing and giving me anxiety. Another symptom is i cant really identify if what im feeling is diziness or vertigo, but it really gives me a nauseous feeeling, fatigue and loss of appetite. i also have a blurry vision, mostly in the afternoon; this feeling of difficulty when opening my mouth, i noticed that there's a clicking (i dont know how to exactly describe it) but when i open my mouth and started moving my jaw side to side, it feels like it wasnt aligned properly. Maybe before the lock down ill be able to go the different specialists. For the mean time ive been taking Vitamin B complex and Sumatriptan 50mg, hoping itll make me feel better.

omg everything u stated except the jaw clicking sounds like me . TMJ can cause that , maybe dentist could confirm or family .

have you been experiencing this pressure on your roof of mouth? it's so intense. i dont know where is it coming from. But I'm a hundred percent sure that it is connected to the pressure im feeling in my head. This makes me dizzy and feel nauseous.

I do have some kind of " feeling" in the roof of my mouth but its not intense at all compared to everything else My main symptomsis severe pressure in eyes , top of head, and alot of upper neck pain in the occipital area. I have the blurred vision, nausea , dizzy or spaced out "high" feeling. This has truly changed my entire life .....

is the pressure feels painful or not? is it always there 24/7?

    • Posted

yes the pressure is 24/7 in my eyes and my head. The pressure in my head feels like I have a bad sinus infection or my ears are stopped up and need to pop. If that makes sense. Its as if "something needs to release or open"

My eyes feel like I have been at the beach all day after loosing my sun glasses , or being on the computer for hour and hours . They ache , blurry , feel like someone is pushing on them. Somedays its so bad i can barely look at my phone or computer as the pain gets bad in my eyes and then i cant do it at all as it gets blurry

I had 3 things happen around the time before all this started that may or may not be related.

One day I had this severe pain shoot in the back left of my head and as quick as ut came it went away. I swear it was like i heard this pop when it happened in my head. Worst pain ever! I thought i was having a blood clot go to my brain. I really was scared!

Another time i was hit in the face with a pretty heavy pillow. It caused instant pain in my neck that lasted about 2 months. Years prior I had to be treated by chiropractor after something similiar happened at school while playing in a bouncy house with my students. Fugured i done same thing but at that time i didnt go cause it was tolerable with meds , salon pas, and tylenol , heat and ice.

Then i had to have a upper "extra" tooth pulled. No complications , went fine , just was tired of the food being between those 2 teeth all the time so after 44 years of my life had it removed.

Then sometime after all this I began to have the pressure in my head and thought it was a sinus infection coming.

Then a while later it was the eye issues starting, then the neck pain.

2 years later and lots of test and Drs still the same.

If you would like me to post all test and what Drs say is wrong let me know and i will post that in a short way lol

Sorry. for the long post but wanted to give a run down on how all mine started to maybe see if any comparisons.

I hope we all find relief for what we are feeling right now. My symptoms starts way back 2016. I knew i had a cold and cough, but still i choose to go night swimming with my friends. After that. I feel a little numbness and pressure in my head. Then the symptoms got worse over years
