i get headaches and dizziness often-i have woken up today with dizziness and a mild tension headache. this post isnt relative to ibs so you may benefit prom posting it somewhere else.
i have been told by my GP to avoid stress and caffine which can trigger headaches. i have done this and it has helped although i still het headaches and dizziness on occassion. i have fibromyalgia and headaches and dizziness is a symptom of fibro. there are a lot of natural remedies you can take to ease the headache instead of taking medication all the time. i find non medicated items work better.

Maybe try a food diary to see if a food is causing headaches; chocolate can be a culprit. Try relaxation therapy or deep breathing to release stress which can cause headaches and make them worse. If the doctor at A&E did not scan you, and suggested migraines, it sounds like he is not concerned that is anything more serious. If he had thought it was serious, you would have had an immediate scan. Migraines could be a plausible diagnosis; an MRI should reassure you and give you answers. Don't google symptoms since you have health anxiety.

Even though your diet hasn't changed, food could still be the culprit. Sometimes you can suddenly develop a food intolerance to something you have always eaten without problems. Try relaxation therapy because stress can cause headaches and prolong them and make them worse. Your doctor suggested it could be tension. Do not worry about not getting a scan today; follow your doctor's recommendations to get an MRI booked. This should give you answers and help to relax you.

Migraines can cause nausea, affect one side of your head and trigger eye pain. I have had this. Try to relax; you only have a week before your MRI which should help to diagnose you.

You are getting the scan as soon as possible; as early as next week. It isn't that long to wait. Do not read articles about your headaches because they will scare you and it will make your headaches worse. Instead, try relaxation techniques that can be found online or listen to calming music. These things will help you more. I don't think your doctor would have suggested migraines if he had thought otherwise. He made that diagnosis based on your symptoms. The MRI will tell you more. The only thing you can do is trust your doctor. Try not to overthink things and focus in the worst case scenario. There is no point in worrying about things that have not happened.

Try relaxation techniques; you may find some Youtube or calming music. Give these things a chance because anything that distracts your mind from you pain and worrying can help.If you keep hoping and telling yourself that you are going to be seeing a doctor who can help and focus only on positive things, it will help you. You are doing the very best you can, your doctor will do his upmost and your scan will come very soon. These are positive things to concentrate on.
