healing time after botox for anal fissure

Hi everyone!
So I went in for the botox treatment for my anal fissure around 3 weeks ago, after trying every cream for the past year or so to no avail.
Since the treatment my pain is still there and I was wondering if anyone else has had the same treatment and was successful and how long it took for the fissure to heal?
Any advice truly appreciated!!

Hi
I had the botox done 2 days ago. The constant itching and burning, in particularly at night has been minimal virtually non-existent so far but I am yet to have a BM. Ive been taking fibrogel twice daily but nothing seems to want to come out and I'm now getting quite bad stomach pain and acid indigestion. Has anyone else not been able to go a few days after surgery?

Hopefully you have finally found relief. I take magnesium every night along with psyllium husk. It helps me keep BMs soft and regular. Good luck.

Hello Everyone!
This is Alex from Canada! I have gone through the whole thread and yes it really felt bad about the condition all of you are going through! Power to you
As I do have the same problem since 2018, I am just 24 years old male experiencing bad symptoms! Fissure is very very small on the exterior part , even the fissure is clearly visible! I have been prescribed lots of ointments but I would say they are effective only 70%! The fissure has definitely affected the quality of my life and has generated fear regarding how unstable and painful the future life can be!
But recently after meeting my Dr, Dr suggested Botox treatment as my fissure is very very small and that I have a chance to cure it permanently! I really do not know what to expect after the treatment as well as what would be the success rate after the treatment getting done! my Dr said the success rate for the botox is 50-60% depending on the fissure which is very very minor in my case! My Dr also said after the botox, fissure will get healed fully and I will be able to enjoy my life at best without the fissure being returned! Dr has also said after the treatment the sex life would be normal as before with minor precautions
But I am not sure what to expect in the initial stage after the treatment is done! Dr has also said the last hope would be LIS (95% success rate)!

hi i had botox surgery a week ago. i have been in terrible pain i have been calling my doctor's office but they pretty much been ignoring me. I did not have a external hemorrhoid before the surgery but afterwards i did get one. Or it could be a keloid i called the doctor to be looked at and basically he blew me off. In addition i have a open wound above the hemorrhoid, again i was not having all of these problems before the surgery and the swelling is barely down. Did anyone else get an external hemorrhoid after their surgery?

I have found that telling patients to take the "Healing Bottoms Suppositories" work better than anything can be prescribed. I don't want to give their web address on here, but you can find them online through Walmart or Amazon. Their suppositories are natural and typically heal the skin and stop bleeding in 2-4 days.. If they cut on a patient or do a surgical procedure the wound is deeper, and it could take a couple weeks to undo the damage. But these suppositories are the best. I hope this helps someone. As a side note their all natural so skip the side effects. God Bless

hi everyone,
i have had anal botox and fissurectomy on monday so on day 5 of recovery now. the surgeon said that it was chronic and quite deep which is why i was in so much pain. i also suffer from hemeroids internal and external. i thought i was feelinf better as im taking double dose of movicol (stool softener) as advised by the surgeon. for some reason i suffer from ibs that causes hard stools and soft stools and never is normal. today iv been to the toilet and it was hard at first and then became very loose. sounds gross, but i checked in the mirror as it felt really swollen there and there are now 3 massive hemeroids poking out. in same horrible pain as before and just so frustrated. it feels like no one and nothing helps. iv had this problem for about 2 or 3 years and im only 32years old. i feel like its stopped me living my life happily and also has postponed me having babies as im way too worried about that along with all the pain im in already on a daily basis. im really not sure if this is common or usual. it has defo helped reading all of your comments and stories so i dont feel alone in all of this. iv never known anyone to feel as i do. the pain is excruciating. is everyone feeling similar to me?

I'm so sorry. This type of surgery is so painful. It will get better but it could take weeks to months, depending on your body. It's so hard to find answers and support from your community because its just one of those things that nobody really wants to talk about.

Hey there. Why is it im having burning pain when I applied crema gel diltiazem.. People said it will relax the muscle but for me it just work differently. Is it because I also doing sitz bath with salt. Do both of the method didn't work together? I'm having severe pain and I just feel like I would just die. Do I have to proceed with botox injection? Will it really heal? 😢

Hello there,
Myself from India. I went through the discussions here before going for my botox treatment and made sure to come back after few months with my experience.
It helps. IT does help. We don't have much positive feedbacks here because mostly people forget that they came across such a forum and don't pen down their reviews. i searched and searched and finally found the website to make sure i pen down my experience. In a rush today, so just in a nutshell i am gonna say that it works. later with more details. also feel free to question. stay strong. you shall overcome this.
