Health Anxiety dizziness Pstd!!

Hi this might be a long post so I apologize in advance. Let me start off by saying I'm 40 years old and have always suffered with mild anxiety never took meds. Last summer I started having issues with my stomach went to doctors had some test ran they diagnosed me with ibs. Around the same time I started to have really bad anxiety I thought I was dying drove my husband crazy. I have had blood work EKGs echocardiogram chest x-rays they doctors said everything looked good no problems. For about 6 months I seemed to be fine low anxiety no problems. My stomach issues and anxiety have kicked up in full force. I see a therapist but no meds. I recently had blood work done that showed I was anemic and doctor has ordered more blood work. When they took the first blood work I was on my monthly tmi sorry which is usually pretty heavy so doc made me wait a week after to have new blood drawn. I am still waiting for those results I'm scared it could be something serious and it's causing me extreme anxiety.

Symptoms

Dizziness

Lightheaded on occasion

Shaky trembling

Fast heart rate

Over whelming feeling of dread

I use to Google I have stopped that it was driving me nuts!!

Just looking for anyone with similar symptoms or experience a fellow ibs sufferer . And I was thinking of starting meds but really didn't want to go that route any and all information would be appreciated. Thank you so much

    Yeah me

43 suffered since 20 years old

I have a therapist and have anxiety

It I have it under control through therapist and lifestyle changes never meds also

All stemmed from loosing my dad when I was 14 and I developed sex and porn addiction which developed my extreme anxiety smile

So I would not worry at all this is all in your head the anxiety and you fixating on the negatives it’s all down to your anxiety

I know it’s hard but try not to worry

How long you been in therapy ? Have you found the source ? What’s your lifestyle like diet excerdise etc

Hi Chris. I have only been in therapy a few weeks and I was abused as a child so that's were the PTSD comes from. I eat pretty well because my ibs I have to avoid certain foods. And any stressful situation sets me off and it could last days. Even when I don't feel anxious the dizziness is there and I hate that. I try to deal with it. Other than being anemic and waiting for new test results everything else is normal. I do suffer with bad sinuses so wondering if that could cause the dizzy feeling. I don't always have it and so days are worse than others. I'm trying to cope I really hate this. Thanks so much for your reply

I am so sorry to hear of this this must be difficult for you, you are one strong individual that I can say without even meeting you so respect

If you have only been in therapy a few weeks this is probably a really difficult time

My first weeks brought my anxiety on so much I felt ill sick more anxious but you know what I am 7 months in now and wow what a difference so your anxiety right now is probably through the roof this will call down as you continue with therapy

Yes your anxiety could be causing you these feelings for sure

I wish you strength stay strong

Take care PM me any time

Yes I have all those things. Doctors always try to say it is anxiety. First of all you probably are starting perimenopause. That also causes heavy periods! I had the same thing. I got anemia too which also causes high heart rate. Now my heart rate rarely goes down below 70 and it used to be 60 all the time. I wake up to 80! The hormones that start going haywire in our late 30s will bring alot of bad symptoms. Anxiety, dizziness, fast heart, all that stuff. The doctors act like perimenopause is nothing but in fact is a medical condition! I personally do not believe in taking medication for "anxiety"... you can learn behavior and mental techniques to calm yourself down. When it first started I was going into full blown panic attacks that lasted days engender my heart rate increased. Now I just accept it and although it's uncomfortable I know it is hormones and my reaction to it is different so it doesn't get out of control. That doesn't mean I'm comfortable. I'm not! I hate it. But it is very common. I'm going to send you the link to the other thread on here where you'll find Many other ladies with the same symptoms in perimenopause:-) once you know what's going on you'll feel better!

If you can, go to a good holistic gynecologist

For anemia eat lots of chicken liver and homemade chicken broth. It will help and that kind of iron (heme) is much easier for the body to absorb than iron pills. Also vitamin k will make periods lighter. There are many NATURAL things that can help anxiety and other symptoms brought on by perimenopause! First the estrogen is too HIGH (lack of progesterone as we age). Only later do we have low estrogen (that's when the hot flashes begin).

I'm sorry you're going through this but you're not alone I am also. Today is actually a fairly good day thus far. Thank God.! I too am an anemic currently on supplements. Also my blood work showed my thyroid hormones were outta wack which caused my anxiety I'm still confused  on tht part bcuz another test showed they were fine but yet I'm having anxiety along with dizziness etc. It's a constant struggle it is. I pray ur results are good and find some kind of relief soon as I'm still in search of. Another thing I'm so thankful for Chris, he is awesome!  Always giving great encouragement! Thumbs up for chris👍👍

    This thread will help you!

Post your story on the link I sent you alive. The ladies will help you there! I am 46 and my symptoms started around 38. This year they really kicked in. I had a few ER visits before I learned what was going on. The doctors will never acknowledge that what you are going thru is hormones but it is!That's why a holistic doctor is best.

Yes my mother said she believes it's connected to perimenopause also. I have had my thyroid checked and it's in normal range. When they took my blood I was on second day of menstrual so was bleeding very heavily. These symptoms have been going on for a year now and I also have developed ibs on top of this! I will definitely post on the other thread thank you so much for that. Chris you are great thank you for all the encouragement I need that right now!! Thanks everyone. I am going to make an appointment with the gyno and see if there's a test they can run to check hormones . I'll keep use posted

Don't let them scare you into taking hormones or the pill or invasive treatments like uterine ablation. They are retarded and will try all these tactics. I will send you some links for natural ways to lower the bleeding. Meantime get some chicken livers and also cook a whole chicken and remove the meat but put the bones back in. Continue cooking these with 2 T apple cider vinegar for 8 hours. The broth you then have is full of good iron and chicken liver has 70% of the daily iron you need as well! Much easier to absorb than the iron supplements they tell you to take which cause upset stomach.

Thank you so much Carly my sister had mentioned the bone broth and chicken liver and I'm definitely going to try it!! It just feels good to no that others are going through this. I saw you have svt I had two attacks once while I was pregnant with my son and one about year and half ago. Doctors after my test results said mine was fine and no need for meds but said it could become more frequent during menapauae and we would talk option then. Do you take anything for your svt? What do you do for yours
