Heart Palpitations

Posted , 13 users are following.

I am having constant heart palpitations all day long. I wake up to it as soon as i move heart palpitates and hot flash. This stuff is literally getting to me. I just want a break thats all.

I visit cardiologist months ago and heart was fine but during that time my thyroid was hyper, then i went again it was hypo, then again normal.

Anyone else having heart palpitations constantly?

Since no period this month it seem it has gotten worse ..

    Hi Mar

For certain get your levels check to see where you are. This most definitely has to do with the racing heart although all of the hormones do this but the thyroid should be stable.

So lowering estrogen, possibly hypo, hyper..yep def get a work up an then the cardio doc can rule out anything else like an arrhythmia, mitral valve prolapse or something else..I have an arrythmia that i go into now and then that is the only reason i know anything about this. (junctional tachycardia)

you are fine you will be fine, just get those things checked out and it sounds like you are already on it!

    thinking of you

Hi Mauiblue, do you think i should go back to cardiologist? I went not even a year ago and heart was fine. But, the strangest thing happened a few dsys ago, after i passed alot of gas and bowel move the palps pretty much stopped in addition to taking DIM a few days later, almost gone. The bloating seem to worsen it. I will.still.have my gyn to check my hormomes this week. The last check was in April and estrogen was high , low progesterone , thyroid was ok.

      Hi Mary

It's definitely something you want to tell the doctor. It sounds almost like there's pressure that's being pushed on a nerve like the vagus, and causing the heart to go tachy.

They may or may not coincide it's difficult to tell.

It will be good to see where your hormones are this time around I forgot how old are you?

      Keep posting

I was never able to get it right with the hormone testing so I gave it up.

for me personally it never mattered what the numbers were because it didn't reflect my symptoms do just trying to do it natural

    Hey Mary...

Heart palpations are NORMAL during the TRIO stages of menopause; they are one of the countless symptoms that plague us womenfolk during this natural stage of our lives. That being said, please don't stress out about this Mary, it just makes the situation WORSE! Having said that, my palpitations are going strong RIGHT NOW, as I am responding to your post. I am in thee FULL blown post-menopausal stage, I am DEEP in the throes of it and I thought, I REPEAT: I THOUGHT.. once my period ended, my symptoms would subside, but, they have gotten WORSE! I've read countless books, articles, blogs, and flyers, which stated that once the period ends, our lives will mellow out! That did NOT happen; my symptoms are UNBEARABLE & RELENTLESS at times! Post-menopause has been my most horrific stage of the trios.. SOME women have told me, that menopause goes to the grave with us, especially hot flashes! That said, make sure you are drinking plenty of water, my friend, and on that note, be well, my menopausal sistah!
