Ooopps pressed enter too soon, yes i am also lucky in terms of actual health i know that (phew) but it is a shock going from training as a master athlete to having to plan every day to be able to cope with that day. I do mean it when i say i wake up and think thank goodness for that... i understand how "we feel" and while i too dont overly trust the NHS i accpet they have more training and knowledge than me, but as professionals they shouldnt mind being checked and challanged and should see it as a positive benefit. Any way all good wishes to all of us on here if we listen and hear and perhaps one of us will ask the right question somewhere which leads to new things for all heart patients. I read on here? i think but somewhere about an engineer who has changed heart surgery for aneurisms (of certain types) he couldnt see why something couldnt be done a different way from cutting out the bulge and restitching the blood vessels, he thought why cant we do as we do with a garden hose and wrap it... took his idea to the doctor and consultant they listened and after a lot of doubt worked with him to develop this idea, they have now done a few trial runs on people and it works not sure who where or how many but i was fascinated and also see one person can make a difference how many lives can be saved by this on perhaps previously inoperable aneurisms, and makes this surgery a lot easier... now how many consultants are aware of this? how many will try it or will stick with well we have always done this old way...? anyway

good luck all i will be watching and posting...
