Heavy bleeding and absolute agony!

Hi ladies,
Since a very young age of 15 I'm now (20)I've had horrendous periods resulting in me having one continuously for around 2/3 years with blood clots and loads of pain. Doctors have always fobbed me off saying it will calm down or its ibs pain. I've tried all contraceptive options to try and help and the mirena coil is like my only option but that has failed and I'm still in the same position, having heavy constant periods and excruciating pain! It's affecting every aspect of my life, I was just wondering if anyone is around the same age and has been through anything similar. In the time that this has been going on I've only seen a gynaecologist once I'm due to see one again on the 22nd March and I only see a hysterectomy as my only option for this night mare to stop.

Pls pls get a second opinion from another gynae onco. I had the same problem like you and my ignorance causes me to become "cancer patient" at young age of 38! Sign of uterus cancer is heavy bleeding and spotting in between periods.
Get Doctor to do a d&c and biopsy. Indication such as protopic ployps, ayptical hyperplasia are something you should pay attention to..
Take care!

Trust me, recovery from hysterectomy is a long process and you will somehow suffer emotionally. I have no other option due to cancer and I am on my 3rd week recovery - post op TAH. Pain is my best buddy now. Swelling here and there, suffering from hormone imbalance symptoms, feeling dependant on others to help you moving around, watching your diet (to avoid constipation or further harm to already swelling abdominal after pre op), n the list go on and on.....
