    Hi Michaela,

I've been through what you are going through just last December and I'm already SO much better. I couldn't take the antidepressant because I was too paranoid to even take them because I felt like it was giving me side effects. My advice, convince yourself you are fine and you will be fine. What helped me the most was downloading relaxing music aps and listening to them 24/7.

Give it a try, it helped me bunches and now I'm going off of my Ativan (I'm in the US so unsure if you guys have this medications). Take Care.

    Hi Michaela

You are suffering a lot and I'm sorry about that, anxiety is bloody awful.

Unfortunately or fortunately however you wish to perceive it the key to recovery lies within ourselves. The anxiety is caused in our own minds and a huge sensitisation to the 'fight or flight' response and the surges of adrenaline. I hope you have read up online about how this biological system and response all works.? ☺

Your brain is looking for the 'threat' and then we latch on to fearful thoughts, feelings and symptoms that our body and mind generates.

The symptoms are frightening but anxiety can't harm you.

The more you search for symptoms the more you will find them!

Don't fight them in fact wish for more! Take the fear out of them. Accept all your symptoms and sag into them let your body droop, breathe. I know it all seems counter intuitive but it really helps. The more you accept the symptoms and get less preoccupied and frightened by them the 'threat' response will drop and the symptoms will gradually lessen. It's not easy but you have to practice Just do as many things as normally as possibly. Medication doesn't change our thoughts just takes the edge off the symptoms which is useful and helpful of course but you need to self - help and use therapy too.

I'm still practising on the road to recovery through another setback ☺.

We have no control over certain things in life death is one of them.. Everyone is scared of death to a point. At least everyone on the earth shares this one universal thing - we are all in it together!

    Take care.

Awww be rest assured it is just anxiety. I have had all those symptoms. It's your mind focusing on them that is intensifying them. Anxiety is perpetuated by the 'fear of the fear' it's like throwing petrol on a fire. You have to trust and accept that your symptoms are anxiety.

By saying I can't believe it's anxiety is why you are going round the loop. Force yourself to sit with it and say to yourself I accept this is anxiety, say it a few times, sag into it. At least try. You can't run from this kind of anxiety eg like a tiger coming at you. You have to train your mind. It is a journey. Hard I know I really do . Personally message me if you want too. Take care x
