Hi everybody. I am seeing my doctor tomorrow, to ask him if he could help me with some meds for the morning anxiety which is hightened quite bad, cannot concentrate on anything, and pacing up and down aimlessly, till the afternoon when it subsides. I started Sertraline 50 mg 3 weeks ago, started the first week with 25mg, my doctor upped at 50. I thing is easing a little bit, but still uncomfortable in the mornings, I sleep OK due to exhaustion of battling during the day, appetite nil, everything tastes as sawdust. And I wake up between 4, 5 am. A very long day.

Hi Latifa, you were right, I cancelled my appointment with the Consultant, my brother adviced not to do it, because more prescriptions would harm, he had depression too in the past. So I took his advice on board, and I am happy to say that today my symptoms are much lighter and I can see the light.... Thank God, perhaps another week or so I'll be "me"" again...

I am starting today 8 weeks of Mindfullness Coignitive Therapy, to help me along.

thank you again for your suport. X

Hi Hun I'm exactly the same in the mornings and on edge all day till about 7pm then a calm down a little, I'm on 50mg of sertraline which I've been on 2 weeks tomorrow! My anxiety has increased but most people say this happens at first, I'm bk at docs this morning to spk to him about it and think there going to increase it to 100mg, I also know what u mean by long days as all u can think about is how u feel, will let u know how I get on, it's nice knowing that were not alone in this x

Many thanks Tracy for your reply, I am helpful that tomorrow maybe I get a little help from my doctor, I know this dose is good for me, as it did work before, the problem is I go into pieces while it kicks. And is a lonely road to recovery....

I get tightness, mainly in my neck, when I am anxious, I cannot stay still, pacing up and down helps, My blood pressure is very up, so I worry i'll have a stroke or a heart attack. What a mess!. Today is raining, that makes me feel not too good!. It's bad enough when the sun is out, at least I can take the dog for a walk,...

I have been off work now for 3 months. I have been on and off ssri. I think they made me worse. My sleep is all messed up because of them. I'm off now but feel bad I think about going back on. Don't know what to do.

Give them another try, it just takes a while to get into your system, it's hard because they seem to make u feel worse before you feel better
