It's perfectly normal to be scared. JUST WANTED TO START WITH THAT.
?I've been suffering with constant 24/7 dizziness for over two years. Three ENT's and two Neurologists (who specialize in Vertigo) have been unable to help me. Every test imaginable has been done with no signs of the "usual suspects"?
?After the Neurologist recently suggested I take ZOLOFT (I'm not anxious or depressed if I'm not spinning 24/7 ?) and I told him that med only made me feel like a dizzy zombie he suggested adding VALUME at night to equal out the drugs effects, I KNEW HE WAS GRASPING AND HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO DO TO HELP ME.
?After talking to several people about the medicinal qualities with marajuana, I got my medicinal marajuana card after I was diagnosed with the "Vanishing" disease. Basically I had lost over 60 pounds in the last two years due to my vertigo. I was so dizzy and naseus all the time when I would out food into my mouth I would immediately throw up. The Liquid (marajuana) tincture I'm using (in a very small dosage) has allowed me to at least keep food down. I haven't thrown up in 57 days and even gained 13 pounds! Can't really argue with that.
?NONE of the meds they have put me on have helped. I didn't realise that the majority of meds given for Vertigo (dizziness) are simply anahistamines (sp?).
?I finally got into the Vistibular Clinic at the University of Michigan on the 10th of this month and am praying with everything I have they will be able to help me.
?This VERTIGO has literally taken two years of my life and although it's getting harder and harder to stay positive......... we (you) have to!
If there is something a dr is suggesting you do that you are uncomfortable with ask questions, do some research and call out to forums like this.
Best of luck! Keep us posted!

That meclizine should not have a bad side effect. It can make you drowsy or tired but that is usually all. Please let us know how it goes for you.
