Help me with my **possible** perioral dermatitis

Hi Everyone.
I am at my wits end with my skin and wondered if anyone could suggest anything.
About eight months ago I went on a course of antibiotics for a wound that wouldn't heal. It did the trick, but a couple of days after I finished the course I began to get huge flakes of skin coming off each side of my nose and just under it. There was no real redness at first, just extremely flaky skin, which Ive never had before.
This then turned red on one side and was quite sore. This cleared up, but switched to the OTHER side of my nose and this is what I have had ever since.
It has come and gone in various degrees of severity, but generally, it is red and mildly flaky/dry with lots of little bumps which look like acne but never come to a head. Having said that, I have been getting cystic type acne right in the fold of the nose recently.
TREATMENT: I initially googled the problem and concluded it was perorial dermatitis. I didn't want steroids as I know that makes it worse, so I went to the doctor (who didn't know what it was and had to GOOGLE perioral derm!?)who gave me DUAC cream. That helped a bit but it just came back.
I have since been to numerous doctors who have given me everything which I have eventually tried.
I was advised to use an anti fungal cream,so used canesten (without steroid in it). This gave me some kind of allergic reaction and i got eczema all around the area where I used it. To treat this separate condition -ergh) i was prescribed a steroid cream, daktacort, which made the eczema go away but then the PD came back worse and now I'm back to square one.
I'm almost positive its a classic case of PD, and since I tried everything the only option is antibiotics. However, I am EXTREMELY reluctant to take any seeing as it would seem that anti biotics gave me it in the first place! It all started as soon as I finished a course of them, having never had it in my life before.
I have no idea what to do, and would appreciate ANY advice. Apologies for the huge post!
Note: I should also add that I have tried lots of home remedies like coconut oil, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar which have helped mildly but not gotten rid of it. In the past three months I've also cut out wheat, sugar, dairy and yeast (considering it may be candida overgrowth). I even switched to fluoride free toothpaste. Nothing has gotten rid of it! (except the steroid/anti-fungal, and only temporarily!)

I have had perioral dermatitis for over 20 years on and off. The only thing that would ever resolve the issue was oral Doxycycline. After repeated uses of antibiotics I developed tinnitus rendering them no longer a viable solution. I tried a wide variety of RX and OTC topical treatments, having mild success with only RX topical erythromycin. The erythromycin would clear the lesions, bumps and dry skin, but the problem would then migrate to another area, causing a reliance on the topical erythromycin. After using the topical erythromycin I also developed rosacea. With the thought that both the POD and rosacea may be an immune response to a possible over growth in demodex I tried the Cliradex cleanser. Within three days there was mild improvement, and within a week my skin cleared completely of the POD. I am four weeks in and am completely POD free, however it is important to note that there is little to no improvement with the rosacea. If the rosacea is caused by a demodex population overgrowth it would be hard to treat topically as the mites stay protected deep under the skin. Regardless anyone suffering from POD might think about giving this product a try. Ultimately it is most likely the Terpinen-4-ol in this product that is causing the positive changes, however I think it is probably most advantageous to use the Cliradex foam cleanser as opposed to trying their wipes or just Terpinen-4-ol, because the cleanser is created to be a very delicate mixture, so the advantage is you can use it long term as it is not overly harsh does not dry your skin out.
I feel like I have gambled hundreds of dollars over the years on facial products, dermatologists and specialists appointments, and Ive gambled with my health being on antibiotics. I felt it was a numbers game, and I am fortunate to have won this time, but everyone's different.
To achieve the results of the one week POD clear up this what I did:
I used 1/2 a squirt of Cliradex foaming cleanser mixed with a dab of Johnson and Johnson Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser (in hopes of getting Cliridex to penetrate pores as deep as possible). I washed off this mixture with warm water, two sprays of Skin Food Fix Tea Tree toner, let dry completely and then massaged in one squirt of Cliadex to stay on the skin. I did once in the am and once before bed.

Hello,
I thought that I'd share my experience of having Eczema and how it has been eradicated.
I had severe eczema on my face, forehead, cheeks and eyebrows nearly all my life.
I was ok at school, but when I hit college, the eczema just flared up and went totally out of control. It was so scaly and flaky and itchy on a daily basis that due to my constant scratching, I had no eyebrows left as they had fallen out. And my skin was so damaged that new eyebrows couldn't grow.
My face was always red like I had severe sunburn. Mentally I was in a really bad place due to the eczema. I suffered with it really badly. Normal conventional facial medication prescribed by the GP did very little and sometimes it made the itching and scratching even worse. It was towards the end of 2003 that I accidently came across Elidel whilst reading a newspaper (The Sun actually!).
There was an article in the newspaper on how well Elidel had helped someone’s young child who was suffering with severe eczema. I approached my GP and told him about it and said I would like to try it. He found and prescribed it for me. And that was just over 18 years ago.
And when I first started using Elidel over 18 years ago, just after the first initial few weeks of using Elidel, my face actually started to heal. My skin tone changed and so did its texture.
I just couldn’t believe it. The colour actually came back to what it should have been originally, which was a colour which I had actually forgotten. Even in the early stages of using the medication, the results came quick and even the GP commented on how well my skin had improved.
There was no more itching or the need and desire to scratch. It has totally eradicated the eczema and has been absolutely life changing. People wouldn’t even believe that I ever had eczema. Now in 2021 I just apply a few small dabs on my cheeks after showering.
I don’t ever need to apply any to my forehead. And after the application, I just apply some normal Vaseline intensive care moisturiser.
This medication has truly changed my life and I hope that those that need it can find it and try it.
