Is it seratonin syndrome. I’m so scared

Yes it’s the meds. It will get better. Do you have any benzodiazepines to help you through?

Thank you so much for your reply. I have some diazepam but I’m nervous to take it. Is it normal to be gurning lots and eyes going funny? I keep drifting off into weird dreams then jolting awake leading to fast heart rate and panic.

I don’t know what gurning is. But anxiety does do a lot of things. Take the diazepam. You won’t need much because Zoloft makes everything more potent.

The diazepam will help a lot while you go through the side effects.

Its ok you will feel horrible for weeks brain zaps eyes moving anxiety worse but then it will slowly get better, hang in there 5 weeks from now you will feel amazing

Jeez man stop taking it, and contact doc.  If doc is certain it's for you maybe start with even less than 25mg. Ssris can be nasty. I started paxil once and stopped after one dose. I started clomipramine (tho not an ssri) and had to cut minimum pill in half cos was harsh, gradually increased and it worked for 14 years.

I really appreciate the replies. I managed to fall asleep last night which helped. Just woken up and feel buzzy but not as bad. I have taken sertraline in the past, about 8 years ago. It saved my life then. I will stick it out but it feels worse this time. My regime is 25 for a week, 50 for two weeks then to 100. I might have to do it slower than that, though. Just the rushes and grinding of the teeth that get me. Too much to handle at points. I always have to move to comfort myself. Like a constant jerk.

I’m glad you’re feeling better. That does sound really fast to jump up like that.

    I’ll pray for the best.

I was prescribed that. Never had it before. 80mgs. What dose are you on?

80mg, enough to take the edge off the physical effects, like the racing heartbeat and the "jump" when you think of an anxious thought. My doctor said it would help until the sertraline kicks in.

I am on 40 a day. Tried to go to 60 but my heart rate went down to 59 and the dr said go back to 40.

      It works well for anxiety.

Used to be given for stage fright way back when.

Good to hear you're feeling better Daniel, and that you've tolerated it in the past. Yep the sert side effects can be roller coaster.
