I am a student currently living in Istanbul and studying here for 1 year. Before christmas my body was itching like mad, i thought it was just the chage in water, dry skin or weather changes. However, went i went back home to the uk the gp said it was scabies. I used some malathion cream and it got a bit better. However, now i am back in turkey and need to useth malathion cream again. I am scared that it didnt work the first time. Also i hae been reading reviews, do I need to wash my sheets every day and change them every day? How much caution should i take? Because i feel like i need to be changing everything every day and that would just take too much time, also i have exams coming up and this is just consuming me. I am scared and very upset as i just want this to pass.

Also if the malathion doesnt work should i try permethrin?

Please help it wold be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Your doctor can prescribe you a steriod cream for the itching.  My cousin got a prescription for it and it was a life saver.  She was going crazy too.  In the meantime, clean and cut your nails... It can spread from the nails.  Some of the itching will continue even after treatment for about a week or two due to having an allergic reaction of the medicine but the sterioid cream will help with that.   And that rash should start to go away and not spread. If the treatment worked, you should have relief in 1 or 2 days.   And if you get no relief of this rash and it gets worse, go back and follow up with your doctor.  They have oral pills you can take or he may have you do the treatment again in 7 days.  And as for spot treatment, my cousin did it.  But I can't recommend it.  I am not a doctor.  Good luck, saying prayers for you.

Be careful my dear this may not be scabies.   I  was told scabies for my rash 6 months of itching and tears from the discomfort.  My gap did a skin sample and came back as lichen planus.  So all the scabies cream made my poor skin worst.

Please. Lichen planus of the skin  is miss judge by many doctors including specialist.

Stress and and tramur such as emotional issues can certainly trigger this skin itches and rash.

i still have lichen planus of the skin leg . Arms .back . Ankles.

i have gone with all natural products for this disease takes a couple of years to go.

I am am in my second year now 2016.  The first six months of 2015. Was when several doctors treated me for scabies. Cost me a lot of money for their medical miss judgement plus extra damage to my skin.

coal tar mix in oil is my best treatment.  The oil jojobo or others really helps to keep the skin moist.  The coal tar at one percent stop it he itch.

    Hello there Misba,

I truly empathise with you and the fellow affected people with scabies. I can happily tell you that I have a wonderful cure that works 100percent! ! It may sound a bit scary but I promise it works!! I KNOW CAUSE I USED IT!! You'll need 3 bottles of household bleach and orange oil which you can get from any good pharmacy. Fill a bath with water whatever temperature suits you, pour in the 3 bottles of bleach and most of the orange oil. Get in and soak your body for as long as you can. I stayed for 45mins. Just gently move your arms and legs around for a while and just let the bleach do it's magic!! Unless you've very sensitive skin the bleach won't harm you. When you've finished just step out and let yourself dry off naturally for quicker results!! You will get instant relief. Best wishes to you!

    Kindest regards,

    Terri.

    Hello there again Misba,

I forgot in my last post to mention clove oil also!! Sorry!! Use both orange and clove oil. Put most of them into water with bleach.

    Wishing you peace and happiness.

I know this is old post however maybe i can help someone.. since i had scabies on and off for about a year and a half. This is not any way profesional help this is only what worked for me having tried everything on the internet and doctors help aswell. I used a dogs treatment that cost 15 dollars. At first i had my doubts but if you have scabies im sure your willing to try anything like i was. After trying permethrin creams, permethrin pills, tree oil, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide and idk how many more "tricks". Just google "dog mange dip" in the front it says flea tick and mange dip has a picture of brow dog its a pint and has weird two bottle container, one being a small bottle in the top. I mixed about less than the cap into a regular size bottle of watter then applied to the rashes. It itches for a while then stops. Dont need to use much just very little in a lot of water and this works magic. Im pretty sure its not health but if it got them to go away id do it again and again.you might want to repeat this ever other two to three days you should see the rashes little scab that means its working. I only had to do it like three times in a week i was enjoying scabies free life. I would still add some when i got any little bumps and itching just to be sure. Sprayed a little on bed and blankets let them dry then washed them. WORKED!! do at your own risk but im sharing because these things haunted me and when i felt hopeless this product saved me.
