Hemorrhoidectomy pain

Hello all... I am here to discuss the after math of hemorrhoidectomy!! Please bare with me as this is long and It’s leaving me a little bummed out... so here’s my story so far.. I’m 25 years old with 2 children.... I’ve had hemorrhoids for about 8 years... since my first pregnancy.... I had the surgery for grade 3 hemorrhoids on August the 21st 2018.. After the surgery was alright, and little did I realize just what I was in for.. I got home and took pain meds, ate, and slept... took me forever to pee on my own, but I refused a catheter to take home.... 4 days later which made it Saturday aug 25 2018 I was feeling alright like maybe I was starting to heal even though I still hadn’t pooped, and I’d taken dolcolax along with prescribed colace 3 times a day... well finally on that 4th day I felt the sudden urge to release a demon... or two!!! ?? I run to the bathroom only to realize that it would only come to a certain point, and then stop... it just wouldn’t come out.... I then decided that I was going to get in the tub, and maybe the water will help loosen me... remind you I had so much pressure that I just couldn’t stand it, and I was willing to do anything to release it... the water didn’t help so I decided to try and manually release it.... that was the biggest mistake I ever made.... I thought I ruptured something and it was only my PINKY back there..... 🙈 it was so painful that my mother had to rush me to the hospital because I was convinced I was dying.... I was shaking, hot, felt the need to pass out, couldn’t sit, stand or anything without consistent pain.... so finally my surgeon chose to have me admitted.... they gave me a very small dose of morphine and the smallest dose of Xanax you can take just to try and relax my muscles along with a bottle of magnesium nitrate.... I drank the entire bottle... my nurse looks at me and says “YOU WILL POOP TODAY” she was RIGHT!!!!! I tore through the hospital bathroom... it was a disaster in there.... the shower, toilet, and even trash can... nothing was safe!!!! After each BM I had to spread my cheeks and let warm water run for about 30 mins or more to give me some relief.... that was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced and that was only my first BM after surgery!!!! Does it get better??? If so, when??? I feel like I’m fine, and can take the pain up until I poop... then it’s like the pit of misery back there working together with knives and rubbing alcohol to make my life hell!!!!!

Hey y’all.... I’m back to check in at 11 days post op... so yesterday I went to the hospital for HORRIBLE chest pain just under my left breast.. had it for almost 72 hours straight with no breaks in between... found out I have some inflammation and was given a steroid and some anti inflammatory medication behind it... hope in a couple of weeks that can clear up because it’s a total pain as well.... here I am 11 days post op and doing MUCH better.... not healed by any means, but I can walk, sit, get in the car for short periods, sit in the recliner if I feel like being out of bed.... the bathroom is still no breeze, but it gets better.... I just find it more of a nuisance now than anything lol.... I have an entire routine that takes me about 30 minuets each time I go... I’m trying to get back into my regular diet while staying on the stoole softeners and just adding some fiber PLUS the benifiber to my daily routine... I’ve enjoyed eating subway and honestly some bread sticks from Pizza Hut lol 🙈. I do pray you all get better, and I hope that it continues to go forward instead of back!!!!

Raven, Raven, Raven.... stay away from that food silly chicklet....you'll end up right back to where you started from.... lol
Trust me, your diet will have to change.... yes I know it sucks.... I am going through some of those nasty habitual cravings myself.... but I am avoiding most of it like the plague.... last thing I want to do is go through that hellish madness and pain again.... ef that!!
If it means celery sticks and water for life.... I'm on it.... lol
Although I won't lie.... once in awhile.... I'll indulge.... but no way on earth or any other planet in the galaxy or any other galaxy am I going through that again.... uh uh.... no way.... not happening.... lol
However I bet the food did taste good.... lol.... I had Swiss Chalet (not sure if that's in the US or not) rotisserie chicken... with real potato fries.... SO GOOD!! LOL!! But definitely can't have it all the time.
Oh my body, why did you have to be so mean.... all I ever did was love you 😂
Send more updates.... hey can you imagine this type of site if we were allowed to post pictures of our.... you know.... I bet that would turn people off a meal or two.... lol

Haha right!!! Would be totally gross, but I would still look ... horrible I know🙈🙈😂😂
Well, I’ve been doing right, but I’m so hungry that I felt I deserved something good... I was 5’6 110 going into the surgery, and now I’ve lost 5 pounds... weighing at 105 I HAVE to eat something!!! I can’t keep losing weight... however, each time i have eaten something good I’m making sure that I stay on top of my stoole softeners... no soda, plenty of water, and occasionally Powerade!!

Made me LOL raven, Zeke. Who else would understand the images you've called up in my mind's eye. :-) Who would understand my bum photos on the phone? I took them so I can ask the physician assistant at Wednesday's appointment what the colors of skin mean. What am I seeing, what does my anal canal look like, why do these things hurt at all...do they have nerves of their own...is all the discomfort referred pain from other pelvic nerves?
Sheesh, I really just want to understand. I see part of the hem is pink-tinged near the base of the rectum with some dark spot that looks like it could be a streak of collected blood. My best friend's had a look-see several times, but says they've looked the same for the last couple of years...just hanging lumps. That can't be all there is to them!
You guys, please watch your diets and drink plenty of water. It's like, watching your diet is a prescription...your medicine...you plan to stay hem-free for all the rest of your days!
