Hello Christina, I'm very sorry for the loss of your sister.

Although I don't have the same, I have bowel cancer which has now possibly spread to lungs

May I suggest you contact the Macmillan nurses 0808 800 00 00. They are very good with any medical info and might even direct you to a group forum for that type. Ib find their forum on boqwel cancer great, plenty of what you jneed, others' experiences, sympathetic advice, etc, etc.

Hope this is of some help,

    Best wishes, Daffs.

Hello Christina, Apparently this type, Bowel, does dpread to Liver and/or lungs and when that gets too bad could go on to brain, bone marrow Thrn you really are in trouble. But good news for you and hopefully me (liver and lungs) Liver heals itself and they can op now on both liver and lyungs. I'm being checked 3 mos. scans for my spot on lung.

Have you been watching Panorama programmes lately. All about the wondergful trials they are doing at Marsden. Theres the hope.

Did you call Macmillan, hope so, if you want answers, good ones. Join the Beating Bowel Cancer group and you can go to their Patients Day in April and I'll see you there.

    Hi Christina

Sorry for your loss. Its just terrible. My mother had colon cancer bk last Nov 13. She had an operation & treatment. She is fine now & is cancer free. Her mother/my nana had it & it was only discussing with the specialist that its was highly possible my nana had it. She had lung cancer (never drank or smoked) but she had this lump above her left leg nearer the colon. This we learnt was obviously a tumour & spread to her lung. I got a colonoscopy I'm42 & I had polyp removed, it was ok but polyps take more than 10yrs to turn nasty. Only for my mum I wouldn't have been screened. So 10/20 yrs down the Rd I would have been in trouble.

The procedure is fine the preparation is the hard part. If you go onto you tube & watch the woman who used to host watchdog bk in the 80's or 90s I can't think of her name but she had advanced cancer 2 decades ago & got through it.

Another thing I've stumbled acrossed is the importance of taking organic wheatgrass drink. Research it. A woman in America who juices it and is on YouTube said her mum had advanced colon cancer which reached the lungs & after medical treatment. She kept taking the wheatgrass & doctors confirmed she is cancer free. It cleans the blood & washes out dead cells which these develop into cancer. Amazing benefits. Do the research on youtube saves alot of reading. Let me know how you get on. Again sorry to hear of your sisters passing but think of how many in your family are aware & will get screened for this inherited illness.

    Keep strongsmile
