Hi about to try a little experiment on lichen planus and lichen sclorosis

I have lichen sclorosis and lichen planus of the vulva. I have had this for about 14 years. Dermovate is not the best control medication although it is just about all there is. My symptoms are at present full blown. My dermatologist is thinking oral steroids..I am not thinking that way at all. I have had a look at the 48 hour fast idea which is thought to reset the immune system. You have to do this one twice a year. I am going to give this a shot in September so anyone who wants to join me on this give me a shout cause I could do with the support. Also there is a new study on tumeric and oral lichen planus(mucus membranes) Apparently in clinical trials the oral lichen planus cleared in 6 weeks using a topical turmeric ointment which was specially prepared.However the intment did make the patients very sore during the 6 week process.  If the fasting does not work then I guess it is to the kitchen for me with a lot of tumeric root. You can find all of this on this net just put in 48 hour fast resets the immune system or tumeric heals oral lichen planus. We can but try, hope, and try again..maybe this can work.

    Hi everyone..well..the fast had some interesting results..Now prior to starting fasting I did read up on it. I was struck by the assertion(was on so many sites cannot remember which) if anything is lurking about in your body fasting will bring it out..hmm. Well there has been something wrong for quite a bit..mysterious deranged livers and suchlike..so I was prepared..a detox is a detox..and was this a detox..my bowels turned to water immediately after I ate something straight after the fast..then stopped..then started again and it has now been three weeks of bowel war..so am awaiting the results of a poop sample..but....the lichen is still quiet..now that is a good thing..still honey and clob..have not done tumeric yet..not quite the right time..Will I fast again? hell yes! I never stick my head in the sand...in saying that the one place I have to now look is uterous and overies and the rest of it.. Let me tell you why..The entrance to my vagina is narrow..I have always tried to argue that practitioners use a narrow spectrum..the last exam whas a goodly while ago(don't ask..guilty as charged)..why ..because a nurse did not listen and caused me agony..repeatedly...and I have avoided being examined by spectrum since. So that has updated on the fast and the lichen..XX

      so glad you're up for doing it again. I'm starting a detox today ....for a month...its really an elimination diet....followed by re-intro of foods to check out my reactions. Tbf is doing a 4 day which she's started.

    I have had Lichens planus of the vulva.  I had been put on chlobetasol with no success.  My daughter in law also had it and was seen for anemia and was given Ferralet 90 to her surprise it got rid of the lichens.  I tried to get my military physician to prescribe Ferralet 90 to me but they said it has no connection so I went to see a private doctor who prescribed it to me.  In less than 10 days the white patches have started going away and itching has subsided quite a bit as well.  I was also prescribed a compound ointment which he said has worked but not accepted by most physicians.  I have not used it yet since the Ferralet 90 is working for me...Hope you can get a physician to prescribe the Ferralet 90 so you can find some relief.

    Hi sky23,

    I tried to read through the complete conversation but couldn't find your response after fasting. Could you please respond with what you did for fasting, and was there any change on curing LP? I have the same condition for 6 months now, and now it has spread all over my body except face.

    I am too much worried on how this will end and not able to find any remedies. Please let me know if fasting works, I am ready to do fasting.
