Hi Everyone!

Hope you are all doing ok. Well had a good holiday was away for ten days. Had a mixture of weather but luckily no thunderstorms. While we were away in our home town of Whittlesey they had an all day thunderstorm with torrential rain and fork lightning.

One thing I did miss while I was away was my exercises. I no I shoudn't say that but my pain was really worse without them. So it is good to do some gentle exercise to increase the endorphins to ease the pain.

Just done them this morning.

Stewart's arm is healing ok after his burn before we went away. Although every two days and to travel and find a minor burns unit or a and e. Luckily while we were away in Yorkshire was not a problem and didn't even have to wait long. Wasn't until we were getting nearer to home at Sutton on Sea, they told him he would have to go to Mablethorpe. Was day before coming home so left it and saw nurse at drs yesterday.

Lizy I hope you have a good holiday in your camper van. Where are you going? Linda how are your alterations going? Lindy hope you are ok as not seen you on for a while. Ses and Di hope you both are doing ok too.

Well catch up soon everyone!

Love Tess x x

    Hi Tess

Pleased to hear your holiday went well and that Stewarts arm is getting better.

Linda, Lindy, Ses, Di and anyone i have missed i hope you are all well.

We had a good holiday at Flammborough in Yorkshire. We had plenty of rain and sun. The kids played in the sea, made sandcastles and went on long walks, but as usual i slept away most of it. We also ended up having to stay an extra night due to my eldest having swine flu and I didn't want the middle 2 kids coming into contact with her before they went on windband tour in Germany. A day without meds was awful.

So now I'm hoping i don't go down with swine flu. Going to do all the washing etc tomorrow so if I do get it at least that will be up to date.

Will catch up with you all later in the week.

    Hi Lizzy,

glad you had a good holiday, sorry your eldest had swine flu, hope he/she is ok now :!: They say that you are infectious for 7 days 1/2 before any symptoms appear. Hope the other two make their bandtour :!: Busy this week as my elderly mother, who has dementia is having a new boiler fitted and I daren`t leave her alone as she is bound to be very confused! Lol

Will catch up later in the week

    Hi Lizy, Linda & Everyone!

Lizy hope your eldest is doing ok with the Swine Flu and you all keep well.

Its good you had a lovely holiday. I can't believe where you went. We went to Flamborough Head for the day when we were staying at Skipsea.

So lovely there and we walked around the rocks and was a lovely day.#

Went down a lot of steps to get to the bottom though lol. Stewart's arm is doing well and looking pink now. Got to see the nurse tomorrow for another check. We are helping Steph our youngest daughter move tomorrow. Luckily she is only moving about ten minutes away to her new house.

We had a lovely dry sunny day for our Wedding Annniversary Barbecue and had about forty family members in our garden. Luckily everyone help to make some food and helped Stewart do the cooking on the barbecue. Has a really late night though and not in bed until 2.30am. Taken me all day with Stewart'ts and Chris help to get everything back to normal. The youngest was my neice's 4 week old baby boy and my eldest nephew is now 37. A big range of different ages for all my neices and nephews.

Linda I hope you are doing ok. I hope your mum will be ok with the man coming to do the boiler. Can understand you having to be there with her dementia. Any more improvements on your alterations yet.

Di, Ses & Lindy hope you are all ok.

    Take care

    Hi Tess and everyone,

Glad your party went well, Tess. I only have a very small family, it must be lovely to have so many people get together who are all related. Hope your daughter`s move went ok and you`re not too worn out :!: Lol

Well, feel really exhausted and quite down now. Mum`s boiler and new radiators are all finished, and bungalow back to normal. This sounds really awful, but she just doesn`t seem like my Mum anymore sad She was always so on the ball and on top of everything, and just to see her sit there and not understand what was being done and be so muddled because things were not in the right places was terrible.

I am always down after there has been something that has used up all my energy or after a crisis, I cope while everything is happening, and then go down the black hole afterwards.

Well going to try and get some rest now, hope everyone else is ok, will catch up when I can,

Hi tess Linda Lindy ses and di

    Hope you are all well.

Tess I'm glad to hear you had a good wedding aniversary.I hope the move went well for your daughter.

Linda I'm glad your mums improvements have been done. When do your improvments start. I understand how you feel after, when something happens you haven't planned for or a crisis i normally end up in bed for 2 days but the new tablets i am on seems to be helping.

Well my daughter went back to work after a week off and the middle two got off on there band tour they are due back tomorrow night. My mum who looked after her hasn't got it, my youngest daughter hastn't got it and my hubby and myself haven't got it. But all the people who she works with got it.

My hubby and I went on a romantic few days to the Chedder Gorge and we had a really good time. The Chedder caves are amazing and i really recommend a visit. The 3 mile hike round the top of the Gorge killed me off and i am now paying for it. We were going to go to Wookey Hole but after he said i could apply for the job of the witch I told him we weren't going and so we went to Longleat instead had a really wet day, but enjoyed the hippos and sea lions on the boat trip in the pouring rain. The lions were really active walking close to the cars.

Ses i hope you are well and not worrying too much about your daughter, Take care of yourself.

    All the best to everyone.

    Hi Lizzy, Tess and everyone,

Well, had a really lovely day yesterday, went to London with my daughter to see Ray Quinn in grease, he was brilliant! It was just what I needed to get me back on track for getting Mum`s kitchen ready for the new one to be installed the week after next. Feel tired today but my mood is better, so just having what I call \"a keeping tidy day\" no real housework, just keeping generally on top of things.

Glad you had a good time at cheddar gorge, Lizzy and your eldest has recovered from Swine flu. Hope the middle two enjoyed their band trip.

Hope everyone else is doing ok

    Hi Linda, Lizy & Everyone!

Good to hear Lizy your eldest is better with the swine flu. Also good you had a lovely time at Cheddar Gourge. I have been there and down the mines. Really lovely scenery round that area. Was good the younger ones got to their band trip.

Linda good you are feeling a lot better in yourself as it is good to get out.

Save plenty of energy for all the other things you have going on.

We had a quiet day today. Had barbeque tea and sat out in the pouring rain. Lucky didn't get wet as have a new bit we made in the garden to keep us dry. Was good we had lovely weather this time last week for all our family visiting. Going to my daughter's new house tomorrow for a lovely roast dinner. No cooking for me again as Stewart did barbecue tea tonight. His arm is healing lovely and will be back at work week this coming Friday.

Hope you are doing ok Di, Lindy & Ses as haven't heard from you all in a while. Take care everyone.

    Hi Everyone

    Hope you are all well.

Yesterday was awful here rain and cold. Today looks a little better.

Linda hope you are copeing ok and your mum. I hope the driving and alterations are going to plan.

Tess belated happy birthday to your daughter. We had a good afternoon at my mums on saturday and the sun was out too.

It would seem that plenty of people in the village are going down with the swine flu. My eldest was the only one to get it in our household so I think it may be back soon to one of the others.

Have nothing much planned for the rest of the holidays thought I might try and get away with the tent again but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.

Di, Lindy and Ses I hope you are all well.

    Hi Lizy & Everyone!

Thanks Lizy hope your mum had a good birthday too! Yes we had a lovely warm sunny day but had lots of wasps about in the garden that were a pain.

Linda hope you are coping and not getting too tired out with all the driving you are having too do and your mums alterations will be done soon.

Di, Ses, Lindy hope you are all ok have haven't heard from you all in a while.

Well we are off the the seaside tomorrow. Going to Wells in Norfolk. We are going in our van and nearly all our children are going with us. Claire is on holiday this week, as is Amy so she is going with her partner Andrew and the girls Sophie & Molly. Steph and her partner Ant also on holiday this week and Stewart is on his rest days. Thought we would take the opportunity of having a family day out. Weather sounds as it is not going to be too bad and hopefully we will get onto the beach. Looking forward to seeing Sophie's face with the sand. I know Molly loves the beach so will have to take the frisby's and bats and balls with us.

Hope everyone else has a good day tomorrow.

    Hi Lizzy, Tess and everyone,

Just popped on to catch up with the posts. I`m absolutely exhausted, physically and mentally :!: Had a day off on tuesday as my cousin looked after Mum that day, but had to take Ray to his physio etc so didn`t really get a rest.

Mum has been dreadfully confused, said her money had gone, someone had taken her freezer and lost two keys and broke a third :!: She had insisted that her money be locked away and then, as was expected completely forgot about it. My son Chris put the freezer in the bedroom so she could keep it running and not be without food and goodness knows how she managed to break the back door key :!:

On the plus side the workmen have been great with her, joking and assuring her she wasn`t getting in their way. At the end of each day you wouldn`t know there had been anyone working in the bungalow. Well, only until next Thursday to go :!: Dread to think how long it will take to get my house up to date again sad

Well, Tess hope you`ve had a lovely day today, you certainly picked some nice weather, and I`m sure the girls will have had a great time :!:

Take care all, will catch up again soon.

    hi all my good friends.

just caught up on ur posts. glad everyone is still surviving.. where me.. well im not doing so great, i have caught every bug under the sun, i have been back in hospital, had doctors out given me injections, i constantly feel sick the nausea is so bad, stomach pains, headaches, and to top it all i have become very depressed, i dont know how much more i can take, i know john is under a lot of stress at mo but he has been very angry towards me and that is really upsetting me, i have spoken to him and he apoligises then goes back to being angry.. i cant help how i am god i wish i was well i really do, i have been putting a brave face on things here so kids are not to upset but to see there worried faces is killing me, i sometimes wish i was not here to suffer anymore, sorry for writing all this down i just could do with some support please,..

hope u all are doing ok and i send some gentle hugs xx dix

    Hi Di,

Sorry you have been suffering so much, all the worry of the last few weeks, you being so sick and all is bound to affect your depression sad Are you on anti-depressants at the moment? If not maybe a chat with your GP might be the way to go. My depression is always just below the surface and I know that it won`t take much to send me back down that horrible black hole sad

I can actually see things from both yours and Johns point of view, as I`m having a lot of problems with my Mum at the moment as she has just been diagnosed with dementia. It`s an awful thing to say but she just doesn`t seem like my Mum anymore, and as I have been going to her`s every day this week I have felt myself being less patient with her. It`s very hard to watch someone you love, change into someone different to the person you are used to. It`s not anyone`s fault but both sides have there own feelings etc and handle things in different ways. Mum keeps crying and saying she doesn`t do it on purpose and I just want her to be the person she always was sad I know your health issues are completely different, but John is probably finding it just as hard as you to cope with all the things that have happened, and like me he maybe wishes the old Di could come back. Just as you wish you could be well again.

Well, I`ve rambled a bit but hope it makes some sense to you. Take care of yourself

    Hi Di & Linda

I am very lucky and have never suffered from depression so can't fully understand how bad it gets for you both. Di you have had a really bad time of it lately. Its about time things got better for you. You know we are all here to support you so if you are feeling down just come on and rant! Like Linda says John has different feelings about what is going on with you and probably gets frustrated because there is nothing he can really do for you to help. Try not to take it to personal if he gets cross and be there for each other. Its always best to try and talk to someone like ourselves away from the situation. Don't forget come on any time. I come on most days and check see if anybody been on unless I am away.

Linda how are you coping with your mum. It is so hard for you seeing a different person to what your mum was like. Don't be hard on yourself for getting a bit cross again it is with frustration and wanting the real mum back.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. I wasn't too good on our trip home from Nottingham last night. Started with the dreaded water infection. Good job we have toilet on board lol. Got worse when we got home luckily but I didnt get to sleep until 2 this morning and woke again at 6. The night before never got to sleep until 3 after the party although went to bed at 1.

Have had a horrible headache today and need a very early night. On my own tonight overnight for four nights now as Stu back on nights. Chris my son would have been here but has gone to Birmingham until Friday to see his friends.

Well take care everyone and hope we all have a better day tomorrow!

    Hi Di, Linda and Tess

Di,hang in there things will get better, I know my hubby is getting fed up of me being ill all the time and it has also put a lot of pressure on his job as he takes it out on his work coleagues which has ended up in dissiplinary action. I find chatting on here helps me a great deal so just fire away. I think at times we just need to get things off our chests. I agree with Linda a visit to you Gp would be a good idea, as I now am begining to understand that depression is awful and is very difficult to lift and that treatment can take a long time to kick in. I have tried to plan nice things to look forward to even if its just a walk round to my friends house, as it is very easy to become a hermit.

    Hi everyone

pushed the wrong button didn't mean to submit that reply yet. Nice things to look forward to are hard to plan when your not in the mood.I sometimes hide something nice like chocolate in my hubbies undies draw. Its a nice surprise for him.

Di, Tess and Linda thought you might like the following, well I was going to send you a cake and drink but my computer doesn't want to do it!!!!!!!!

Linda I hope your not doing too much remember we have to pace ourselves!!! Don't be too tough on yourself about your mum.

Tess sorry to hear about your little problem, my daughter had the same last weekend and so she drank loads of bicarbinate of soda in water. It worked a treat.

Life has been full on for me theses last couple of weeks, hopefully it should slow down soon.

    Take care all.
