hiatus hernia

i have a hiatus hernia, and find that i become very tired and lack energy can anyone please help? i also find that sometimes i feel like i want to birp, but can't and have to rub the top of my stomach then i'm able to birp. afterwards i feel a lot better!  please please help someone!  Val.

      Hi Valerie. Please do not worry, they all help. Have not heard of this one. You really need to look up lots of different ones and what their ingredients are if you are worried about getting the right one. It took me days and days to do that. But now I always get the same ones. They seem to work for me but maybe yours would work just as well or better. When I got mine they were on special offer so I got enough for a few years.

      Hi Carmel!  have been reading the reviews of the one i told you about, and think i'm going to cancel the order, as one review said that it caused her to have nosea and very loose stools.  I think i told you before i used to take actimel yoggart, but it made me feel sick, and as you know, i'm very frightened of that!  To be quite honest Carmel I just don't know what to look for.  What's the one you are on?  Val.

      Hi Valerie. I was feeling better until I had bioticsa and went ten steps backwards. The doctor laughs at this because it never occurs to them that the flora in your stomach or food make any difference. I am happy to point you to the one I take, I usuallytake two a day, and crush them first so they arent't too hard for tummy, though to be honest I am often too lazy to crush them! Get them from healthspan the one for over 50s. You can see them on the site. H

      Hi valerie. I think the idea is that the ones for over 50s or over 70 have high amounts in. So you could get the one for over 70s and take one a day or take two a day of the over 50s. I am only telling you what I decided to do and what works for me. If I was healthy and had no medication I might not take anything at all, but these medications wipe out a lot of our vitamins and minerals. Iget the 50 plus one

      Which also has a little of other things in, but probably not enough to make much difference.

      It is also important to have some fibre every day. One bowl of porridge gives us some, as does muesli, but nowhere near enough. So I take two fibre capsules each day with a lot of water.

      The other thing which is vital is biotics either through live yoghurt or biotics because these medications can wipe out our good bacteria and if they wipe them out enough we can get very very ill and maybe never get better, so instead of worrying about it just make sure that does not happen, easy enough. I make my own yoghurt when I am well, right now I am buying it. And it is always best to have a prebiotic about half an hour before you have the biotic or live yoghurt so it feeds and grows.

      Hi Carmel!  I have actually been on to Healthspan, and they said that if i don't get on with them, they'll send me a prepaid label and i can send them back.  She also said that there shouldn't be any adverse side effects, as it is just a multi vitimin pill.  She also suggested that i could phone tomorrow and speak to one of their nutritionists who'd advise me.  She was really smashing!  Anyway, i'll keep in touch, and let you know how I get on.  Clever lady making your own yoggart!  i'm afraid i'm not very domesticated like that.  Anyway, thanks again for all the help.  please keep in touch, as its been a real pleasure talking to you, just knowing that there's someone out there who cares!  Val.

      Hi Val. It is not about you having adverse effects,you will never get those with multi vitamins and minerals and anyway it would take months to see it. If you phone tomorrow you will speak to one of their sales assistants, not a nutritionist, their sales team won't always be there weekends.

      I know healthspan very well and how they work.

      Making your own yoghurt is really easy, I will tell you how to if you ever want to. Please do think about the biotics

      and the fibre as the vitamins will help but why not sort yourself out properly all at the same time?

      Hi Carmel!  the multi vitimin i've ordered has a probiotic in it.  They're so pleasant at healthspan making it a pleasure to deal with.  The reason I said about the adverse side effects was that a particular review said that it upset her stomach, and ofcourse, I don't want that happening to me!  When I spoke to the lady on the phone, she said I shouldn't have any trouble with them.  Carmel i'd really like to keep in touch, so i'm going to give you my personal email address.  I hope this is allowed!  Anyway, here it is:  _____  Hope this is ok with you.  Val.

    p.s. Valerie. You need to research any medication you are taking thoroughly and find out which nutritients get rubbed out by it and then take something that puts that right. The people at Healthspan or whever will not know all the ins and outs of your medication, they do not study thousands of medications! I also take an anti oxidant every day, eat more fruit and veg, never drink at the same time as eating and never eat other food with fruit, always have fruit on an empty stomach and then no food for at least two hours. If you eat loads of veg and fruit that helps and veg is better than fruit.

    Your body is like a garden.You need to tend to all of the flowers. Now and then you spray weedkiller but if you spray too much you kill all of the flowers and seedings too.

    Red cayenne pepper helped me. its a stimulant and blood purifier it helped heal my hernia.dont over exert yourself it will take time to heal. i would advise eating only alkaline foods(fruits and veggies) and cut out gluten completely.
