I stayed with my son and daughter in law for 3 weeks, then went home. I understand you are nervous, I was also. It was my first surgery, you will be fine. I was surprised it was less pain than I expected. Don't get me wrong it was painful, but I prepared for a lot more. Good luck to you and stay on this blog, these hipsters are wonderful and very helpful.

Hi Mandy, Ok First of you you must inform the hospital of everything. They will not let you out. Have you got any Friends/Family who would be willing to help you? PLEASE make that list of things to do now. Also the red cross are amazing. Also get yourself a good supply of Microwave foods, which will deliever to you. Eg oakhouse foods. You will have to sleep on your back. You will be a raised loo seat, a walking stick, crutches. A slippery sheet for getting into bed. Regards Amanda

      Hi Amanda

thanks for the info , much appreciated ..I will go to my mums for a couple of days , but there is nothing better than having your own place to recover if that makes sense , I will also have to share a bed with my mum , so I am not looking forward to that lol

how are you after your opp ?  I do hope you made a full recovery
