Hip replacement at age 50 I'm devastated

Hi

I started with leg pain 9 years ago and after a scan was told I had oesterioarthiritis and would need a hip replacement within the next 10 years.

I now need 30mg cocodamol 8 tabs a day and with exercise can walk the dog for 30 minutes. I sometimes struggle to bend and stand from a sitting position but can walk unaided although with a limp.

I have now been told that my cartridge is completely worn and I need a HR.

I'm bricking it to be blunt.

Just looking for reassurance please
