Hormonal changes

Posted , 7 users are following.

Im 41 and have been suffering from anxiety, sickness, diarrhoea for 8 months now. Citalopram really helped and all was going well up until a month ago when I had a blip. My meds have been upped from 20 mg to 30 mg. It's worse once a month so nurse said it's definitely hormonal. Any advice or just words of comfort. Thanks. X

It's the hormone changes that speed up the bowels, try soluble fibre only, avoid things weetabix, I learnt that by bitter experience!

Sheila I have been having symptoms since October last year and when I got my bloods done in February I was 6 and classed as normal. Having got my bloods done again this month I'm now 16 so I'm happy I'm not going mad as my hormone levels are changing and I have loads of the 66 symptoms of peri menopause.

The best time to have your test done is the 3rd day of your period from what I've been told that's when I got mine took. Xxx

Thanks for your response. I got my results from uterine biopsy and it did show irregular bleeding.. no cancer or precancerous cells. So I was told also this would give them an idea of my hormones flucating although she didn't say that ... only that the bc pills would help. So I'm guessing I have some fluctuations happening

Thanks sheena for sharing that. Mine was 6 too in the spring. So I will take your advice and get my next one done the 3rd day.
