Hot flushes with no sweating!

Hi guys,

You are all so wonderful.  Just joined the site and thank goodness you are all here.  I am 44 and for the last 4 months have been getting so overheated have had to walk out of restaurants or theatre.  The wierd thing is I am not sweating,  Just getting so hot in my head I feel I will pass out.  When I get out into the fresh air I am shaking and pale, feel weak and so tired I could fall asleep on my feet.

Does this sound pre or peri menopausal, whatever its called? Today I started to feel sick after eating, then the heat came and I had to really work hard, ice packs on the neck, deep breaths not to be sick or pass out.  Whats going on?  Any ideas.  Many thanks.  Georgia

I know this thread started a couple years back, but I am so glad I found it.   I have been experiencing EXACTLY what you did.  I have for the last year.  I have been to cardiologist, ENT, endocrinologist.  I have these attacks where I can feel the heat come oh like a wave and I almost black out.  It’s terrifying.   Lately I also get migraines as well.  The omg wave of heat and feeling of passing out is so scary.  I’ve become depressed that I won’t find the reason and make it stop.   I can’t drive anymore. I hate being alone, which is odd because I love it, but these attacks have started giving me panic attacks.  I get them more around ovulation and my period .   I feel like I’m dying or having a stroke all the time.  I can’t even say how many times I’ve been to ER.  Most doctors I went to dia doh it’s anziety take Xanax.  No one really listens.  The last week I have had the most intense body heat.  Like fever beyond , no sweating, while I sleep.  Even in the day.  In fact I’m on this site now because at 3am I woke with such a major body temp I was dizzy and scared. I hope you are feeling better now.  And I’m sorry you had the same thing.
