How did you lot cope with doing house work before you thr?

Due to being unfit to work i spend all day in the house on my own till family come home but i feel lazy if i do nothing so i constently do housework but the severe pain it cause literally reduces me to curling up in a fetal position and crying, plue tramadol are no help at all for the severe pain im in.

So does anyone have any good tips for housework without chronic pain?

Sarah, I think we are all trying to understand your frustration and it's all very well us all saying "well, if it hurts don't do it" but I think you are trying to make yourself useful around the house and take the load off the family, which is a good thing. The bad thing is that you are hurting yourself.

I know how stubborn I am, I was trying to clean the loo the day I came out of hospital.

You asked in your post 'does anyone have any tips for housework without chronic pain?' and I would answer as some already have - in small bite sized bits. Clean the tops and then rest, do the dishes and then rest etc. Try using long handled brushes when doing the floors.

What you need to promise me is that if you do some housework then you are also going to do something for yourself.

But yes ill do some house work then take some time out to do my colouring hahaha.

Today i just baked but my life how that hurts my poor crappy collar bone hahaha x
