    Good morningsmile

Just want to update you on my situation. I got in to see my surgeon much ealier than expecred because of a cancelation. She is a bit brusque, but has an amazing reputation. She was concerned about the amount of pain medication that I take for my chronic pain. But she took new X rays and it turns out I have hip dysplasia. Probably born with it. My hip is

shot, in other words. Going to try to cut back on the pain medication and I see her in a month. Then my surgery is tentatively set for May. Now I

have to hang in there for another couple of months. But at least there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Hi celticarma its good to hear your update, may sounds a long way away but its only the month after next, it will soon past. At least you have a date. It doesn't matter what your surgeon's like as long as she's good, at least she's diagnosed your problem now and knows what shes dealing with.Good luck with your op and as you say there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

My consultant says its not bad enough to do replacement but can see I'm being held back because of that leg now so he has requested xrays of my back and whole leg to try to find out what the problem is. He'll see me after that to discuss further which I'm happy about as long as he can find out the problem and hopefully make it less painful. I am at least walking better now with my 1 leg done which is better than I was before my op. Take care.
