How do we remove our fear of fear
Posted , 11 users are following.
Hello, I am going to give this a try,I know there is a phobia group.
However this group will be to simply discuss our fears ,as some of us have more than one fear, and put simply ,the fear of fear itself.
Fears of Dr`s, Hospitals, Dentist, and of all things to do with Dr`s and Hospitals
Please feel free to come in here and freely discuss anything /all things we have fears of ,and hopefully we can help support one another .
We can hopefully help each other to try and overcome our own fears /phobias.
By saying what it is that we have ,or are doing to remove them .

where fear is rational is is best faced rationally with courage and fortitude.
however there is a limit to our courage and fortitude. Exceed it and we break. aka the last straw.
humour helps to extend that limit. Apply for a bucketful to Millyimp.
(I am glad this thread has come back to life. I am needing it.)

totally aggree with you, I am battling this fear thing all the time when things get rough, keep telling myself there is actually nothing to fear but fear itself, we are so attached to our bodies and there comes that little voice of the ego sitting on your shoulder telling you all kinds of nonsense............
yes humor helps a lot, so does this silly laughing yoga, I am doing it with my daughter, my granddaughters think I have lost it. lol.
Translation of a german proverb: the most lost of all days is the day you did not laugh.

Personally I fear nothing except my wife when she is in a temper! For the rest, there is little that I haven't seen and experienced. I've been shot numerous times (in the forces and in civvy street), killed people (forces) suffered brain damage due to being hit with a baseball bat, had needles and tubes in every part of my body whilst in hospital - even came round in the High Dependency unit with a vicar stood next to me!
The way I look at it is that it can't get any worse.
