I started having anxiety over things that I didn't before, cried over things that wouldnt make me cry before, would get angry over things I didn't before, moody, bad pms. No doctor told me, to have a sudden personality change puzzled me so I started researching.
I have worked with woman my age group that have lots of the signs but never put 2 and 2 together.

I think the extreme psychological symptoms of PMDD was the beginning of my perimenopause journey, too..I am too young for this and to be honest, hormonal imbalance have destroyed my life
It is true that estrogen deficiency affects our character, our personality, our behavior, our beliefs ,our mentality about life and world generally speaking our balance! I feel that hormones have conquered my body, my mind, my soul

I was 40 when it started, my mom passed away, which was stressful, I already had stress but that was the stick that broke the camels back, so I truly believe that's what set it off. It messed up my life too, had to switch jobs, lowering my income and so on. I have been better as far as anxiety and less emotional the last 6 to 9 months but still suffer with bad days of brain fog so am putting off finding a better job as I don't think I can do anything that requires a lot of consintration yet...it's frustrating to have your life pulled from under you.. I'm 46 now.

You are right, perimenopause may lasts many years....depends the organism
I forget to mention that one of my early peri symptoms was vivid dreams...still have them

in peri estrogen falls alot less than progesterone, so most in peri are estrogen dominant!

Also I read somebody on here post that her doctor said there’s not a vitamin in the world that will help the situation. I’ve been thinking about it ever since😢

Hi Patty. I'm just recently learning from this forum that peri started for me at around 40. I had just been laid off after working for the govt for most of my career. And I was the bread winner in my family. Ativan was a game changer/life saver for me. I was on it for years. AD's aren't what we need in my opinion. I'm still researching the hormone level thing, so sorry I can't help there. My gyno is focusing on my having a bleed since my lining is slightly thick. That was over a month ago, and still haven't taken Provera. Just so scared right now. Health anxiety CRAZY. My sis in AZ does bhrt cream. She had thyroid cancer while pregnant over a decade ago. She's 40. I will be 50 this year. All of us just want to feel better and don't know how. This is dreadful! Hugs.

For me it was pretty much what everyone else said about the anxiety. Physical symptoms were spotting and breast pain along with many others😤

my first symptom too was an anxiety attack on a plane!! at first i thought it was bcoz of my weight. i went to the gym and reduced 18kgs over 2 years. but i had another panic attack after 2 yrs from the first one...inspite of being 18kilos lighter. it was worse the second time. i went to ER. all reports were fine. thats when i began to realize that i'm in perimenopause. now, after a year or so, i have come to understand and mostly have a handle on the situation. most days are ok...except fr a few days, especially during ovulation. but i just take it easy, rest and eat healthy. only home cooked food with variety of dairy, veggies fruits, greens n chicken (n occassional desserts to gain some weight).

Hi, I have no idea either but it really triggered last yr when the pandemic starts. I was about to go menopause but on the 11th month i had my period. my last period this yr was feb so I have to start all over again. Having so many peri symptoms. As of today, I am feeling weak, burning eyes, lightheaded, aches and pain, anxiety, crying overload. This makes my life miserable. I don't even know how to be normal. I'm new here btw and i'm glad I am alone.
