Hello, 18 yearold male that has been diagnosed 2 years. I get frequent open wounds but they heal over with thick white skin, is this similar with anyone else?

Have you tried Cortizone 10 or Clobetasol Ointment?  I would imagine treatment would be the same for male and females.

HI there Jules (love that name!).   So sorry you've got htis so young. But we can help I'm sure. It looks like you just joined us so you may not have read the discussion on Aloe Vera Gelly wtih a few drops of Tumeric essential oil. They both have good research behind them for healing up skin disorders besides just cooling things down.

The other part that you'll want to consider for long term health, are the nutritional deficiencies that are associated with autoimmune diseases. I took 5 months to find medical articles on the web and create a list basic knowledge base and which supplements will hel back this whole thing off. YOu might have been reading here already and know that we all are required to choose a better diet... and that will take a bit of figuring out which things cause your flares - its particular to each individual - BUT e ALL are aware the SUGAR is the biggest no no.

Let us know how you get and and if we can help.

OH and read my report on the nutrition that you need. (also be sure to get a baseline level of your Vitamin D status as everything falls from there.
