How I cured my acid reflux, naturally.

Hi: It seems like there are many more people suffering from acid reflux than ever before. Professionals offer only medications and surgery. I have suffered from acid reflux on and off for some 20 years. After much research and meditation on how the esophageal sphincter functions, I discovered a low cost solution. Two or three times a day I drink orange flavored carbonated mineral water. After drinking it, I hold back the burp for 3 to 5 minutes, sometimes longer. Then burp the air out. Make sure to always do this right before bed. This forces the esophageal sphincter to work hard to hold down the increasing air pressure. It is the only way to strengthen this muscle. After nearly 2 years of nexium, I am now completely off acid blockers and only take a sip of water with sodium bicarbonate before bed, just for protrection. Please try this and let me know if you also find relief from acid reflux. I hope you do. Regards, John

But I am finding huge relief. Decided my good bacteria was not as it should be and have bought a good quality Probiotic. Also bought Kefir drink. Big difference within 3 days.
Good luck.

Help John can u explain the whole exercise on how I can strengthen the flap to stop acid arising I am only 26 and I'm making adjustments to my diet to stop GERD but I don't want to go on anything that can stop production of acid like omeprazone and just changing my diet has helped me a lot already.

Hi Jamie:
Sorry to hear you are going through these digestive issues. Gerd( acid reflux) can be caused by many things. A new medication, an imbalance of intestinal bacteria, stress, vitamin or mineral deficiencies. And likely, many others. It can be helpful to try and isolate when the problem started and what might be the cause. If you do my carbonated water treatment and don't change the cause of the GERD then you may not make progress.
1. Check all side effects of any medications and see if any digestive issues are listed.
2. Start eating lots of probiotic plain yogurt. 1st thing in the morning drink a large glass of slightly warmed up water. Then have some yogurt. You can make a yogurt smoothie in a blender. Start with 3 cups of water. Then add some frozen fruit like strawberries, then add some carrots, then maybe a banana. Blend it on high speed for a few minutes, then add 1 cup of yogurt and protein powder if you want. Then blend on very low speed just until mixed. Now pour into 3 glasses. Have one in the morning and the other two on an empty stomach during the day.
GERD can be caused when intestinal bacteria is of the bad variety. For some reason some people are more prone to have bad bacteria. Bad bacteria makes a lot of gas, good bacteria does not. This trapped gas can cause pressure on the stomach and result in acid reflux. Aslo, if you can, try eating only raw vegetables, fish or chicken, and fruit for a week and see if things improve. Fast food is slowly killing us because it has no nutrition and no fiber. Avoid it.
I would start by inclining your bed by 8 inches and see if that helps. Also, start on my carbonated water treatment. This means drinking 8 oz of carbonated water and holding down the burp, starting with 5 minute sessions and adding 5 minutes to each session each week, working up to 20 minute sessions. Do 5 sessions per day. Keep me posted. John

That sounds very doable, my wife drinks Unsweetened seltzer daily.... she likes it. I'm on 20mg of Omeprazole as I developed a cough no results just a nagging off and on cough finely went to my Family Doc and he said it might be Acid refux... I was doubtful I'm 67 have eating every thing and any thing all my life... cough went away. But now I'm on this stuff and my wife wants me to give up my new habit for the last 12 - 16 months Full Fat unpasteurized un-Homogenized Raw milk.... its Delicious and available on Farms in NY. To some this must sound so petty but I really enjoy a glass to start my day and then at the end of day before bed. Any ideas any one??

I am more concerned about your doctor putting you on Omeprazole just because you had a cough than I am about you drinking raw milk. A cough can be caused by many issues, but you did not mention any testing. On the milk issue, I have found that milk can cause some allergic symptoms like nasal congestion or phlegm from the throat. You may also have a snoring issue, which can cause a person to inhale mucus.
After you get up to 20 minute sessions you should be able to slowly wean off the Omeprazole.
I will tell you a story about raw milk. My wife has had milking goats for over 20 years. When I started having some of my digestive issues she suggested I take some de-wormer medication because I might have liver flukes from the raw milk. Well, I took the de-wormer and started to feel better. That was the last time I drank raw milk. Now I just put it in the microwave for a few minutes until it boils and then put it in the fridge until morning. Anyway, enjoy, and keep me posted. John

Sorry to hear you're going through this. Prevention is the key. You also need to support your recovery with high nutrition. Add natural vitamin E, Multi vitamin B, a Multi mineral and 500mg of Multi source magnesium. Juicing vegetables can also help healing. You can go vegetarian for a while to see if that helps turn off the acid. I also recommend probiotic yogurt 4 or 5 times a day.

I must start by saying that the advertising has ruined this site. Anyway, I know exactly what you're going through. These digestive issues can be caused by many things such as stress, which can cause excess acid production as well as burn up vitamins and minerals which are needed for proper digestive function. A few years ago I had at lest 5 different major digestive disorders. But, the acid reflux was the most life disrupting, I knew I had to deal with it first. After a lot of research as to how the digestive system functions, I came up with the carbonated water treatment. I had tried the suggested water drinking and jumping up and down or hanging upside down trying to strengthen my esophageal sphincter. My treatment allows anyone to easily strengthen this critical part of the digestive system.
Gastritis is usually defined as an inflammation of the stomach tissue. This can cause bloating, excess gas production and a feeling of constant nausea. You have what they call Globus sensation. It could be caused by acid reflux damage. Since your doctor did not find a hiatal hernia you can do the carbonated water treatment, just start out very slowly with small amounts to see if it causes too much pain. You can also add natural vitamin E, Multi vitamin B, a Multi mineral and 500mg of Multi source magnesium. These can help with the spasms and recovery. Juicing vegetables can also help healing. You can go vegetarian for a while to see if that helps turn off the acid. I also recommend probiotic yogurt 4 or 5 times a day.
Hang in there. Just keep at it, you can overcome these issues. Keep me posted, John
