The good news is you aren't going up any more though. It's gone very quiet on here.

Yes it is very quiet. I've just been watching This Morning and they had a young lady on who was Britain's Fattest Teenager at 34 stone. She had a Gastric Bypass operation at 16 and is now (2 years later) 8 stone and anorexic. When she first had the operation done, she lost 7 stone in a MONTH  Her lowest weight was 6.5 stone when she was hospitalised. She has been told if she doesn't put on weight she will be dead in 6 months but she has [u:2c929d0727]major [/u:2c929d0727]issues with food. She is a lovely young lady and I really wish her all the best.

    Hi Petal

Oh Dear from one extreme to the other, poor girl.

I'm fine feeling emotional at mo  as my sister has had a breast removed today. I cannot even comprehend what she is going through. Hoping that is the end of the Big C for her just wish I could wave a magic wand so she was fit and well.

Don't seem to have lost any weight this month my scales went up and have now returned to what I was a month ago. I've been good but with everything that's going on I've not always had control of what I'm eating so I've not taken tablets in case and then I've forgotten to take them lots of times  I usually look forward to weigh in on Thursday but I'm dreading it.

I agree it is very quiet on here.

I hope everybody is having a good week xx

    Hello everyone!

Aww i hope your sis recovers well trying hard!!

Come on petal, you can do it smile

Im good, just had some good news today actually - my other half had to have a sperm test to see if his little swimmers are all doing ok and if its not just me thats failing to get pregnant - so we were at IVF wales - turns out my doc is actually wrong about me not being able to get refered to have fertillity help - the doc there says we are good candidate's to go on the waiting list as they do a weight loss programme there and apart from BMI we already meet there criteria smile smile smile smile

So instead of dieting etc for a year or so then being refered to ivf treatment, i can go on the list now and diet while i wait, which cuts out at least a year waiting time!!!

OMG how could my doc not know this?? So we are going to my partners doc in a week to get results of his swimmers and then his doc will refer us and we will both start our time on the ivf waiting list smile

Another reason why im happy - my partner has pretty much finished painting our house, if i see another paint can, roller, brush or old paint covered linen, again im gonna scream lol!!

Hope everyone is ok, sally hows Sliming world going?

    Thanks Everybody

I went to see her last night (she doesn't live local) she'd come out of hospital and was more upbeat than I'd seen her for ages , even her partner said getting her home had made all the difference. She's got a long way to go but hopefully she's got rid of the cancer and hopefully she'll be on the mend real soon x

Great news Sian_B. Having never wanted children I can't even start to imagine what it must be like to want one and no be able to. My friend started trying a few months ago but it looks like she has thyroid problem so will have to put on hold.

Trying hard pleased to hear that yuor sister was upbeat, and let's hope it has all gone.

Slimming world not going to well, I have lost 6lbs in 4 weeks but this week I stayed the same and I really should have put on. My meals are all good but I've slipped back into the bad habits of snacking when no one else is around. Yesterday I had the day off and had a jumbo pork and pickle roll in the morning. I had Be Good to yourself sandwhiches for lucnh, but then settle down in front of Slumdog Millionaire with a movie bag of doritos and nacho cheese dip, followed by jelly beans, milk bottles and fruit pastillies. I didn't eat the healthy tea I'd planned but managed 3 bags of crisps between 9 & 10.

My partner was working away last night and I know it's wrong because I've made sure he wont be able to see all the packets in the bin.

I've got my doctor check up on Fri and I think it's time to ask for the counselling. I'm now 48 and having been on some form of diet or another all the time I am still only 5lbs lighter than I was at 30. I think that says I need help!

Thanks guys, there is a faint light at the end of the tunnel smile

Aww sally....Its those times pf complete boredom or routine in a way i think, i used to sit down with a movie, eat bags of crisps, some choc , sweets its so easily done and i would think nothing of it!!

Have you tried not keeping those things in the house? I dont have much in the house. i know i have a massive problem with food, i cant even do stuff in moderation, i would rather not have it at all, otherwise i get greedy and cant stop myself - then i kill myself with guilt!!

Well you havent put any on - thats the brighter note smile

Thanks again everyone for the support. Sian_B, apart from the crisps I purposely bought everything else in the morning. If anyone came and looked at the food in my cupboards they wouldn't understand why I'm the size I am. This is why I think I need the counselling, I'm deliberately making things worse. Oh well, got lot's of fruit with me today and a yogurt and I'll try to keep away from the shops smile

    Have a good weekend everyone

    Hi Sally

Sounds like you need something to keep you occupied especially when there is nobody else around. What about a hobby that you can do at home that will keep you busy.

Don't give up - another suggestion Keep a diary that you can write your thoughts in and when you binge and what you eat, maybe this will help you know what the triggers are. Have you got somebody you can confide in wh can be there or on the other end of the phone ?

Don't give up you know what you want and YOU CAN DO IT XXX

My weigh in at the docs on Fri wasn't too bad. I'd put on 1.5kgs in 2 months which was better than I expected so I had done more damage limitation than I thought.

I don't think I my eating has to do that much with boredom as I can eat as much when I am in the office and in the car. I have tried hobbies but I get bored with them. I actually enjoy watching the TV to wind down in the evenings. It's more like I do it out of defiance when no one else is around. I agree that I should get myself someone I can call when I am feeling like eating rubbish.

The doc says I am getting too stressed about it and has given me something to calm me down a bit (very mild) so I can come at it from a much better perspective. He wants to see me in 2 months, in the meantime I'll continue with Slimming World. I think not having put on as much as I expected has spurred me on.

    Hi Sally

Pleased you haven't put on as much weight as you feared you had.Set yourself an initial challenge to lose the 1.5 kilos you've put on, then treat yourself to something new. Come on you CAN do it X
