How likely is it that I got herpes from my most recent partner?

I looked around on the internet and all the answers I found seemed rather vague to me. Only days after being with my latest partner I have what I believe to be my first outbreak. At first I thought it was vaginal tearing from rough intercourse but its only seemed to have gotten worse in the last 4 days. I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow but I want to be as prepared as possible to having the "talk" if the results are positive. From what I've read and know about having the chicken pox the virus can stay dormant in your spine and some people never have symptoms but if you do have symptoms does that mean you got it from your last partner or could it be possible that I received it from a previous partner?

Pcp is certain it's herpes with the new and persistent symptoms. Also was prescribedoing topical acyclovir and yeast infection meds. I got another pcr blood test. He's more confident about it being accurate than I am. He thinks it was a bad sample but I still think it's too early. If it comes out negative I feel he'll treat it as shingles which is the same medication anyway. I'm tIred of going to the doctor and cancelled my appointment at planned parenthood. Taking about 22 pills today so yeah.... I'm over this.

I got back my 2nd blood test negative again so I'm going back next month to get another test. I've been healed for about a week and a half now but I've still been experiening some itching and sensitivity. This could also be because I had a yeast infection and I know that the medication can cause some dryness but I can feel little bubbles and hairs pointing. My anus too is itchy. I don't have a rash or anything and I can keep myself from "slapping the vagina" as my friend and I called it in public if I'm distracted so I haven't been using anything. I've been able to have sex but again with the sensitivity, does not help my partner is large. Mentally I'm better but that's probably because I'm still with my partner.

Fyi, you will always test negative if you keep doing a pcr blood test, except in very rare and/or serious circumstances. After 3 months from your initial outbreak, you should do the HSV-1&2 IgG antibody blood test. But glad to hear you are coping well so soon afterwards.

How soon do you experience a new infection? It's been a few weeks since healing from my first infection when I noticed I was bleeding from what appear to be very tiny ulcers. I didn't experience bleeding with my first infection and these are so much smaller in one spot I'm trying to figure out if it's another infection or I scraped myself shaving.
