How long do you have to sleep with a pillow between your legs

How long do you have to sleep with a pillow between your legs after a hip replacement surgery and also when can you start bending and trying low seats . Any advice appreciated.

    Hi Mary  I slept on my back for the 6 weeks and then I used a pillow for a good 4 months it was just comfortable that was 2 1/2 years ago and I can honestly say I only occasionally remember I have had THR . 

    Then because one of the legacies my mother left me was osteoarthritis I had to have a knee replacement 1 week ago... onwards and upwards....
