I still feel light headed dizzy after a week off. I took it for 4 months 500 to 600 mg per day. This drug is weird and should be look at more closley. What do you all think. will withdrawals go away eventually?

Please do not just go off the meds..you will have bigger problems as this med is an epeleptic seizure medication...they use for pain....and can cause some problems for you...you really need to see your doctor when you are ready to come off it and come off it as slowly as you can and i mean slow like take months or a year to taper off it as it does affect your brain chemistry...type in here coming off gambepentin and you will get lost of results and suggestions. hopefully your doctor knows best..but i have seen some real horror stories here about docs just cutting people off.....and taperiing them down too fast...the slower the better...

I am hopeful that the withdrawal symptoms will subside, but it may take one month for each month you took the medication. At least that's my experience. I was on gabapentin for 7 months discontinued taking it February of this year still experiencing some side effects of withdrawal but they are improving. Good luck

I would look into alternative ways of healing. They take time, but they do work. I am working with a Naturopath who is helping me with supplements and anti-inflammatory foods. I also pray, meditate and exercise. The endorphins help me sleep. I am in Los Angeles. I am beginning to use CBD oil, and I am noticing a slight difference in my pain intensity (I've only been on it for a week.) Another medication is only going to take you down the same road. I understand the desire to want to have a pill fix everything. I am 4 years in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. I am also a 2-time kidney transplant patient. But over time, more medications just harm our bodies more. Take control of your healing to the best of your ability. It will take time. It is a long process healing from these medications. I've been off Gabapentin for 2 and a half months and Is till have ear-ringing, itching and burning of the skin and do not have my normal appetite. It has slowly gotten better, though. Fight for your health! Western medicine does not have the answer to everything!
