how many times do you get up with enlarged prostate for a wee ?

Only ask because i was told i have an enlarged prostate but not to enlarged and now have a PSA every 6 months. But some nights i get up once in 6 hours and others i get up 4 times in 6 hours.

I did read you can get medication to reduce the size of your prostate to help stop you getting up so often ?

Are you in the UK or America as treatments and opinions vary?

All the drugs have side effects that can effect your sex life.

You can have every health condition on the planet and you can treat any or all of them all day long. The smart person looks to get as healthy as possible, discontinuing any unhealthy habits that caused the problems in the first place., like being overweight or sedentary.  Once a person has their eating under control and their physical activity up to sufficient levels to prevent disease all problems are solvable.  #wakeupoeople

      Emphysema

      acid reflux

      liver problems

      gallstones

      prostate problems

      geographic tongue

I get up between 4 and 5 times a night, it has destroyed my health with no sleep. I am taking Cialis, but it has nit helped yet, I dont know how long I must keep taking it for results.

I took Cialis for BPH and I took finasteride to shrink my prostate for four years. My symptoms improved but never really got better. I just had the UROLIFT four days ago and I am sleeping through the night, BUT  I am 67 and in the top 1%, healthwise, for men over 60.

The only reason I keep re-iterating that is I can’t comprehend what makes it so difficult for people to do things to be healthy rather than trying to take pills and treatments to deal with health issues rather than prevent them

I only take one pill that's for my acid and refused all the others and sorted most problems. But not sure if the NHS do this and even if they will do it for me ?

Rick healthy is good but does not fix all. Take my case 67yrs - swim every day 1.5km, run walk with dog, very well managed diet, no family prostate history, had been taking saw palmetto for 10yrs BEFORE prostate issues and I develop BPH imagine how it hit me.

Reality is BPH options are meds if they work or a procedure lifestyle factors tragically do not work.

      This is my story.
