I am week 6 , hip revision and desperate to get in the bath . I am using crutches and unfortunately having very slow recovery, really because of multiple operation on the hip. I am not worried just want a bath . 😊

    hi crisps,

did you have your follow up appointment yet?

I am with Beth -- not too fond of taking baths but I understand you wanting to soak into sudsy warm water --- if scar is closed and you you have someone close by to assist you getting in and out, try it ... I would make sure there is some anti-slip thingies on bottom of bath though ... just in case ...

let s know how you are getting on ..

what other operations did you have on your hip?

    big warm hug

    renee

      Hi

I have had a number of osteoatomies , at 7, 16 , 27 then had first replacement . I was born with congenital dislocated hip, not picked up till I was walking age 2 .

I must say struggling with this revision , only been out once in four weeks , on one crutch in house but walking badly leaning over to good hip. Not had follow up review yet .

This is is a lovely group , friendly and helpful , thank you for your reply I will wait while longer for my soak . 🙂

Good morning all:  I have gained a lot of useful information from this discussion group, but my recovery is going well and doctor says everything is looking good.

My only problem now is that I am receiving so many responses and comments from the group I can't keep up with it.

Can anybody tell me how to quit the forum?  I don't seem to be having any luck with the unsubscribe tab.
