How to manage the pain?

Hi all.
I'm trying to coupe with symptoms and think that I am starting to loose the battle. Usually I'm very good at blocking out pain, but there are some days where I am just too tiered to do so and then its a very slippery slope.
Over the counter pain killers have been OK, the usual ibuprofen and Paracetamol. but recently doesnt seem to be touching it. This moring I took a couple of Co-Proxamol which doesnt seem to be touching it either.
I've got Solpadol left over from an operation last year, and plan on taking that later this afternoon as a last resort.
But I am interested in finding out if there are other ways to deal with the pain other then reaching for the king of all painkillers.
With pain also comes shakes.
any advise would be appreciated.

Although not in any real pain which is good, the muscles which were painful feel heavy and are twitching a lot. this is normal isnt?

I have been racking my brains about alternatives for pain, my brain failed me unfortunately but I did get an email yesterday that reminded me, there was a study in Toronto about Low Frequency Sounds being helpful for pain, if I remember rightly from the last time I looked into it there are a number of low frequency mixes on you tube, it might be worth a try.
I personally don't get the twitches, but I definitely get the heavy feeling

When I say twitching its like an occasional pulse, not a full on spasim happens more when I put weight on my legs or when I am extending the arm. just a strange feeling.
Didnt realise you suffered brain fog as well.. Something which has worked for me before was taking a couple of supplements Magnisum and Electrylites sports drinks. as well as eating magnisum reach foods.
Although it hasnt cured the issues completely I am not so much of a jibbering idiot as I was. lol another good tip is to ensure you are hydrated....and play puzzles to feed the brain - so they say.
low frequency sounds could be worth looking into cheers for that.
hope your well today

That's a good point actually, I've got into the habit of avoiding sports drinks as my Gastro doc always insisted my issue was sugar, but now I know thats not the case it's worth giving them a go. A good example of my remaining brain fog, I have some magnesium supplements sat on my kitchen bench i've been meaning to start them for about the last month, i get so used to seeing the bottle there, I forget i'm meant to actually be taking them - perhaps it's time I put an alarm on my phone for them, so thanks for the reminder.
not too bad today thank you

Yes brain fog, slurring like I'm drunk, not making sense sometimes and twitching are things I get. Sometimes not so bad and recently not been really bad for a while but have been resting more.
Its the weirdest condition ever isn't it? !
