hrt for women over 60

is anybody having trouble getting hrt from their gp, i was on hrt till i was 55 then it was stopped. i felt great on it but have put up with horrendous menopause symptoms. i am at the end of my tether  i am a 62 year old healthy woman, i don't drink, have never smoked, am not over weight and i am not on any medication, my gp refuses to give me hrt even although it would make my quality of life 100% better. I have been told the risks and read about them but to me the benefits outway the risks, smokers get patches alcoholics get pills, junkies get methadone and the obese get gastric bands and it should be my choice if i want to take the  risk and take HRT

My friend currently aged 60 was told to come off HRT four years ago. Has had awful menopausal symptoms. Saw a different GP this week and has finally been allowed to restart accepting any possible risks so keep trying x
