Hydrodilation Frozen Shoulder
Posted , 7 users are following.
I had this a month ago after having frozen shoulder for 5 months. It works and I am so much better. Pain all gone and I can now get my hand half way up my back. Had it at Nuffield Leeds. Physio is a waste of time until you have some treatment. It doesnt matter what stage you are at to have this done.

Did you find Physio basically useless before this?

When I asked my physio about it she said they wouldnt do until it was completely frozen but I emailed the specailist direct and he said the sooner you get it done the better and you can get it done at any stage.

Today my pain seems to have eased a little bit more yay
still v resrticted with movements dispite everyday excercises.......... you get so fed up going over and over it when nothing seems to help or you see little improvement don't you sigh lol...........
Think you are right about FS being a grey area - they should deffo put more research into it.
Awwww nooooo - the hospital have just called and cancelled my app for next thursday
Gotta wait now till 2nd April............... shoot me now!!!!

You're so right about when you keep going over it. Like when I see the doctor. That's exhausting in itself!! Sometimes it's like m trying to justify myself.
The time will go super quick, and it will be April before you know it. What's that appointment for? Are you having surgery too? Sorry trying to keep up with everybody. I know you're a nurse. What a brilliant and important job!

Lol no worries Mel - I can't keep up with everybody either! I had mua & they looked inside my shoulder & shaved a bit of the bone off & got rid of all the adhesions ( scar tissue ) lol
The app was to see consultant who will make up his mind if I need further mua......... I had never heard of FS until I was diagnosed & was like "What?????? No way! Are you sure" I googled it to death!!!
Yes I worked for the NHS for 37years in total - I took early retirement 2years ago
Was a sister in critical care.
It's vile being on the recieving end lol.......
Hope you manage some good quality sleep tonight huni & that you get pain free soon. We all must stay strong!!! This condition does eventually improve so I'm told
keeping everything crossed

Do you know, if I doze off in daytime, it's always much better than nighttime.
You've seen a hell of a lot over the years with your job. I believe you have to be a special sort of person to do it. Do you miss it?
How did you develop FS? Does your neck ever hurt?
I'm terrified of surgery !!!! Scared of not waking up!!!
Like I said before, I'm so over the moon to have found you all!!! Xx

Yep I loved my job & miss my work mates but I don't miss the hastle & pressures
I took early retirement but it wasn't an easy decision to make.
Please don't worry about the surgery, once you are asleep you'll be pain free & know nothing of whats going on & when you wake up you can start on the road to recovery
You will wake up huni I promise
My FS came out of the blue last July - no injury - just kept getting pains down the side of my arm that would wake me during the night - thought it was a bone infection.......... How wrong was I lol.. Yep the side of my neck aches something chronic - all connected with FS I'm afraid.
I was offered steroid injection at the begining but said no - I didn't realise it would get so bad, when I did go for consultation they told me my shoulder was way to far gone for an injection to work at that stage. This was last Nov - saw surgeon in Jan & had surgery Feb - I'm still in pain but it has eased a little & I don't get those electric shooting pains now.
Oh do you ever get tightness at the top of your arm like you have a blood pressure cuff pumped right up? This is so vile
This web site is a god send
Try and have good weekend............. grin and bear it lol

So, this FS can come on with no injury, trauma. Nothing.
Yes I do get tightening in my arm and goes into my neck. It's rotten.
I bet you came across lots of people scared of things in your job!!
I hope you've had a good day. X

Yes FS can come on through no injury or for any reason
Lol ooohhhh yes I could curl your hair with some of the sights and fears I've seen over the years
Today I've been really down - sooooo fed up that I can't see any improvement............ How has your day been?? And how's the pain been today?
Speak to you all soon
Stay strong

I'm ok thank you. It's always there. I turned my arm too far earlier, frightened my daughter!!! She has said it freaks her out seeing me in pain. I have always hidden things from them, but this is impossible to hide, especially when you get that searing pain which just takes your breath away. I walk like I've just been winded when that happens. I sound so ott but it's just the way it is!!!
Maybe you need more or different pain meds? You know exactly though don't you.
Do you have family around to help? Xx

Yes I have a really good understanding husband which helps! My youngest son (he's 24) is still living at home - he thinks it hilarious but he care's really & helps when he can
So good to talk to someone who know's exactly how I feel
