Hydrodilation Frozen Shoulder

Posted , 7 users are following.

I had this a month ago after having frozen shoulder for 5 months. It works and I am so much better. Pain all gone and I can now get my hand half way up my back. Had it at Nuffield Leeds. Physio is a waste of time until you have some treatment. It doesnt matter what stage you are at to have this done.

Hi Carol, so glad this helped you...........Hydrodilation isn't offered everywhere not sure why sad Agree though physio waste of time until you have had operations to sort it! God I can't wait to tie my hair up - it seems like years ago I could do that sad

Everyone on here is just so desperate to stop the pain and return to 'normal' Lol smile We can all sympathise .........

I would ask for Hydrodilation. The steriod is a temporary fix. Hydrodilation is not a cure but it gets rid of the pain and speeds up the healing process. I hardly notice my frozen shoulder now and its only been a month.

The specialist who did the steroid is the one going over the gp head to his friend in another hospital to get me pushed forward asap. ive spent a fortune on Osteopath as i didnt know what it was when i first had it. So went privately, paid over £200 and then had steroid injection.  So now waiting for specialist to contact me.  Ive just emailed the guy that did the steroid injection as he seems to be really helpful and told him that im in so much pain and now work is suffering as its hurting to work.  I have to wait to be assessed at new hospital, then i will go in for procedure.  I hate needles with a passion but he said that the procedure is same as steroid injection and that didnt hurt me so im going for it.  I was skeptical when i ralised its not done everywhere but i trust this guy who runs his own private clininic.  If id not spent £200 on osteopath i would be able to have it done privately at £350    BTW it costs nhs £75 !!!

I have physio next week but i think they are 4 weeks too late with that, had i had it done a week after steroid im sure it would have helped a lot.

Story continues, specialist, Neil, called he hasn't booked me in for hydrodilutation, so I called doc, doc sd he knows nothing about it, so doc sd to get Neil to call doc,  doc called back, Neil called and they decided between them that I'm having another steroid injection next week. I'm having physio on wed but only cos they are only ones who can push me forward for hydrodilutation.  So, fingers crossed.  Unfortunately, I have to drive my daughter to her new job on same day! Aargh. Lol x
