i had a hyst 8 weeks ago my belly feels really bruised on my right side.does any body know how long this will last for? x

    8 weeks post op and yes my belly is also bigger but no weight gain yet, hopefully that will stay the same.

    doc said tummy will be bigger for a while due to muscles all being cut so you cant control it like we used to, really hope I get that back.

    im very keen to be one of these women who say it was all worth it, that day wants to hurry up!!!

      i can sort of cope with the big belly but when i had mt c section my belly went after 8 week. And i am 8 week on and its still there. I also give up smoking the day i went in.

      I know what you mean about that day.I keep getting told it can be a year till everything is back to normal, is that right? x

    Yea I heard that too, main recovery first 3 months but can take 6 to 12 for 100%.

    I think the c section just cuts the main stomache line but we have had that plus all internal muscles cut too and pushed all over the place,

    I watched a TAH on youtube, made me see exactly what we went through.im a bit worped like that.lol

      i never looked in to what i was going to be having done other than i knew what was being took away and i would be out of pain and no bleeding. But at the moment i feel no different from what i did for the last 3 years. And my friend told me not to watch it as it would put me off.x

      I agree, I would never have watched anything before my op, it took about a week after being home I guess.

      im with you that I feel no different at the moment fingers crossed the next few months go quickly, the last 8 certainly has.

      lots of my friends said," enjoy the rest snd pampering", enjoy!!!

      Are they mad lol

      i still havent watched it now. I keep saying to ppl ask me in another month or so and i might say yes it was. I dont like being poorly i am the one who keeps our house going.My partner has been fantastic but doesnt do things how i like them.  i just keep thinking another 4 week and i am 12 weeks .

      My hubby been brilliant. Iam the same the house cleaner the i could go on. But I can not wait to have a sprung clean lol

      its so hard to sit back and let ppl do things for me. i went clothes shopping today just for a coat. my mum and gran what me to go shopping with them tomorrow but i dont know x

      Yes went last Saturday with my hubby. I was ok I just didn't help do nothing. And was fine just come home and lay on the sofa. Just do little trips out. You will no when you have had enough x
