hoovering was weird, felt couldn't push the hoover so I dragged it instead.i had less pulling that way, definitely knew I had done it after, got that achy burning feeling for about 10 mins after. But I managed the whole room so very pleased.
my hoover is a cylinder, not sure if an upright would be more difficult.

It must be smashing to feel that you have made good progress, don't hurt yourself though will you, especially as you are starting to get back to normal. I was recommended to get a Gtech Sweeper as they only weigh 2 lbs and it is cordless so I have one on order. My Dyson City is going to be too heavy for quite a while I think. Lovely to chat to you. Take care, Jacqui

Ok... grocerie shopping...WOW...I noticed LIFTING a large bottle or bending down to get something.. NOT GOOD... I was sore leaving
and you have to lift OVER the carriage, thenOUT of the carriage... you don't realize, you use all those stomach muscles.. WHICH WE HAD CUT!
Take it slow girl!
Thats great your family is there for you... I am so worn with taking care of my 91 yr old dad in my house... but I have to.
I just pray, ask god for strength each day
Have a great day today Luisa!
and happy "hoovering"

I just LOVE this site, and enjoy following all of you.
I'm glad you are getting out, and hubby is there to help, kids too.
I too did EVERYTHING in the house.. doesn't it feel wierd to NOT run around doing this and that, bending down , reaching up, "hoovering" , I think all our family now sees ALL WE DID/DO...
I know my house was "not the same"... he tried...
I am still asking for some help today, 8 weeks later.. I get some side pains here and there, and tired a bit.
Glad all is going well... see.. we are on our way!
your friend in USA, Mary

Just out of curiosity I found this and thought you might enjoy it too, a list of English/American words/terms, if you scroll down to H you wil see hoover LOL

On a serious note ladies can i ask you something,
going to try and speak to docs today
I am having trouble going to toilet (no.2).I have been on various stuff like exlax and movicol but they all give me diarrhoea.
Thing is im not actually constipated, when I do manage its all very normal, I just have the constant feel of pressure that I need to go but nothing there to move.is this a normal, I know they reckon it takes a few weeks for bowel to start working again properly but after 8 weeks shouldnt it be normal now
