Hysterectomy soon, so scared please help!!!

I am 41 years old and have four 4.5cm fibroids, one 6cm fibroids and about it 10 to 15 small ones that were visible on the ultrasound. I had a myomectomy in 2006 to remove four fibroids. I have had back pain, stomach pains, bladder issues, constipation and inhad no idea this was all caused by large fibroids. My doctor has scheduled my surgery for May 16th but I will drive myself crazy with worry before then. I'm afraid of bleeding to death during surgery or infection. My mind is my enemy right now I know. I'm scared, so scared. Please pray for me, that I get thru this ordeal. Did I mention I am scares!?? Thanks to whomever responds to help me thru this. I need all the support I can get ladies. Thank you all for reading.

Good luck to both of you and try and focus on looking after yourselves after during recovery, not over doing things and a positive more pain free future so you can put all this stuff behind you 😉

I was you until my TAH lastTuesday. I had several big fibroids and a uterus the size of an adult head. Once I'm healed I have a very good feeling that all of my back, hip, bladder, colon problems are going to be gone and im not going to sleep my life away. I already feel like my old self in just a week minus the common pains. Make sure you keep on top of your pain meds and take brief walks a few times a day. It's rough but us women are tough! Ask for the cocktail as soon as you get your iv because it calms your nerves a lot. Don't over do it on days you feel great because you will suffer the next day. I'm in much more pain today than yesterday because I over did it and it doesn't take much to over do it. I had a second prescription of percocets yesterday called in. I try to not over do it but pop as many as it takes. Also, take stool softeners, gas x, and Metamucil. Passing bowels is tough.

wow, only a week ago and you're doing pretty good. I am so glad to talk to others who know what it is like. I pray all of my issues will go away after my hysterectomy also. Just hate the stomach pains and weird rumbling gurgling moving stuff thats been going on. Please keep me posted on how you are progressing. You can message me private if you want. Have a wonderfully blessed day!!!

Thank you so much for your response. It is awesome that you are doing so well so soon after surgery. I have a question tho. I am a little worried about my uterus or a fibroid being "stuck" to my intestines or stomach, bowell, bladder or some organ that it doesn't need to be "stuck" to. I have a fear of cutting my organ or some other injury. Im so glad this did not happen to you with such large fibroids like I have. I can feel them in my abdomin and I hate it. Can't wait til they are out of me.
