I am starting a cabbage juice cure to treat my gastritis. Anyone wants to try with me?

Some doctors cured their patients of ulcers in the mid 20th century with cabbage juice. Supposedly they got some relief after 4 days and most of them were cured after 7-10 days.

Here is how to proceed: one has to drink 200 ml of fresh cabbage juice 5 times a day, so every 3 hours. I am going to mix mine with one apple in the morning (if I can take the acidity of the apple), and other vegetables (carrots, spinach, celeri, fennel) the rest of the day to make it more tasty.

      The green stems .

I have to say it did work! I feeling much better now, just had, yet another gastroscopy and now it shows mild inflammation in January it was acute.

I done cabbage juice for about 10 days then and stayed on celery juice with lemon in the morning on empty stomach for about 3 month . And and all this time since Jan I haven't taken even one antacid or PPI , what is been prescribed. That worked for me,but I have interesting stomach and a lot of things point to achlorydia (no stomach acid) in my case ,while doctors screams is acids...

I did my research after 6 years going from doctor to doctor and hearing to take PPI...that never worked or made me feel worse

I am happy for you and I hope that even the mild inflammation disappears soon! How do you make this celery juice? Just green celery and water?

Me too!I bought slow juicer from amazon and I'm juicing it, so no water added I just add 1 small or half of a bigger lemon or lime juice , it makes taste much better! But I read that you can blend celery with a little water and strain it, if you don't have juicer

I have a juicer, but how much juice do the green stems provide? It must be very tiresome. I can't drink lemon juice, it burns me.

I already had my thyroid, pancreas and urine tests just waiting for the urine result, so far normal, but thyroid a little lower than my functional doctor would like to see. I feel like before the Vibrio I was almost cured of my gastritis because I was feeling better (still not the same though) and had gained back most of the weight I lost 7 years ago. And then bam, I get real sick again with another bacteria (Vibrio) and now I'm back to not being able to eat almost anything just like when it all started 7 years ago after Giardia. I will say that for 7 years, 1 1/2 - 2 hours like clock work after every meal I get this full nauseating sensation sometimes with stomach pain (left side upper quadrant) near my belly button or my entire stomach. It's like I can't digest my meals half way through. And I'm on a roller coaster! I can eat pretty normally for a week, but not such a good digestion as always and then the next week I can't eat at all. I started Sucralfate on my own again to see if it would heal any erosion I may have again. It's at least helped me eat a little something in the past 4 days. Honestly, I am afraid I will live this way forever. I can't work and basically do nothing all day because I feel so sick constantly. I don't want to live like this any more and much less make my husband miserable in the process. I cry every day out of desperation. I hope you have a good day and feel better. I have to start the prep for the colonoscopy tomorrow. I don't know how I am going to drink all the fluids that is required because I can barely drink 4 cups a day. Wish me luck and prayers to you!

I wish you the best of luck! I have exactly the same feelings and thoughts as you, but we have to stay strong and have hope. How did you diagnose Vibrio? Did you take antibiotics for it? Domperidone helps me with my nausea these days.

Hi everyone! I'm new here- diagnosed in March with gastritis, esophagitis, GERD, gastroparesis and three ulcers. I have never had major gastro issues until I got the flu (don't know how the two are related but it's the sequence of events). I went into an urgent care on Mar 1 with fever, cough, body aches, etc- normal flu stuff. They determined I had influenza A and sent me on my way with Tamiflu and gave my husband and kids prophylactic Tamiflu prescriptions. I got better within a week but then days later I started experiencing worsening breathing problems. My throat felt "thick" and "meaty." I would wake up coughing. My throat was hoarse. My ears felt full. My stomach hurt really bad. I had diarrhea. I went into my doc and he told me that I needed to isolate immediately and that it could be the covid virus everyone is concerned about. Mid March is about when the country started shutting things down and news reports were coming out with terrifying statistics about covid. It was stressful. I isolated and took meds prescribed by doc- zpack, albuterol, ibuprofen, steroids. Everything made me worse. I deteriorated to the point of not being able to eat at all. I could barely sleep. The pain was unbearable and my breathing was worsening. I went to the ER 3 times, urgent care twice and telehealth with my doc numerous times. Everywhere I went they treated me like I had covid telling me it's just a virus. They ran my blood- looked great. Xrays were clear. Ultrasound of internal organs- normal. CT was slightly concerning but mostly normal but they chopped it up the gastroenteritis (and told me to take more NSAIDS). I demanded a covid test to prove that's not what this was. I finally got one- negative. I knew it would be by the duration and worsening of symptoms. I then demanded an EGD, something they stopped doing because of covid. I was finally able to get one at the end of Mar and that's when they found what was really causing my variety of symptoms. I also got some nuclear med tests and a swallow study. They put me on the standard treatment- PPIs, carafate, H2 blockers and a liquid low FODMAP diet. I was miserable and saw little improvement by the end of April. By then I had lost a whopping 35 lbs and decided to ditch the stupid meds that cause way too many side effects to start working with a naturopath. Healing has been SLOW but it's happening. I am doing IV nutrition therapy which I highly recommend. I am also taking slippery elm, D-Limonene, liquid multivitamins, vit C and Gaviscon Advance. I mostly drink alkaline water and eat a low acid diet. My stomach pain is very isolated now but it is gnawing and I'm left with the GERD and esophagitis causing me the most problems. Which brings me to this point (sorry about the novel). I am considering trying cabbage juice but I do not own a juicer anymore. Will it be worth the investment? How do I go about this treatment should I purchase one? Also, to the original poster, did you have your thyroid checked prior to this regimen? Should I? I know my blood work has never indicated any issues but I don't think I've ever specifically looked for anything like that. I have always been extremely healthy though a bit overweight from recently giving birth- not obese. I am also currently breastfeeding. I don't know why I'm telling you all of this except I'm hoping you or anyone on here might have some helpful suggestions or insight- especially with the cabbage juice thing. Thanks everyone!

Hi, Brenna! I am sorry you had to go through all this! The good thing is that it wasn't covid after all, but the rest must have been very debilitating. I don't know if you tried cabbage juice yet, but I drank it three times and it gave me worse stomach pain than before. I am sure cabbage juice promotes the production of gastric fluids, that's why I had this kind of reaction. I have been taking Nexium for more than a month, but I am only by 30% better. How are you?
