I am starting a cabbage juice cure to treat my gastritis. Anyone wants to try with me?

Some doctors cured their patients of ulcers in the mid 20th century with cabbage juice. Supposedly they got some relief after 4 days and most of them were cured after 7-10 days.
Here is how to proceed: one has to drink 200 ml of fresh cabbage juice 5 times a day, so every 3 hours. I am going to mix mine with one apple in the morning (if I can take the acidity of the apple), and other vegetables (carrots, spinach, celeri, fennel) the rest of the day to make it more tasty.

does cabbage juice really help?
i started this therapy for a day. i felt nauseated, loss of appetite and somehow feel weak.
ive been suffering from acid reflux, indigestion, and gastritis for years now,on and off.
but since january,i've been in constant acid reflux. had endoscopy and got diagnosed with gastritis. same finding that i had last two consecutive years.
now, been on omeprazole ppi for 2mos. it disappeared for about 2mos. but came back again. then another 2 mos of ppi and got better. trying to taper down from 40mg BD,then 20mg BD,
and 20mg OD. i'm trying every other day of ppi 20mg. i want to get off of ppi so im trying this cabbage juice. but like i said,i feel nauseated. im not sure if its really helping. should i try this for a couple more days or should i stop it?

hello, ive been doing research and you can do anything green. try and make sure its organic as the soil matters. there are live organisms on our plants that help our gut. all the pesticides kill these organsims. hope this helps. ive done organic baby spinach in water and got the same effects and its cheaper.you can blend any and put through a sifter and wallah.

Actually the studies used *WHITE* cabbage. So using red, green, purple, or rainbow won't be as effective. Please use white cabbage in your treatment. I went to whole foods and found some regular cabbage, but some of the heads were extremely white so I went with those. I just started today, and am blending it with a vitamix and water. I have also included a banana because bananas have been shown to heal ulcers as they help create a protective coating inside the digestive tract. I also am using cubumber as it also is very slimy and non acidic. Wish me luck. I will try to remember to report back. Im so sick of this pain in my stomach.

Was wondering how your treatment with the cabbage juice went. And would like to know if you or anyone else experienced any changes in the color of stool. (Don't want to gross anyone out) I tried this for a week along with gluten free diet which helped ulcer, but turned stool yellow. Don't know if that's normal or not. Stopped cabbage juice two days ago and still yellow. Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't use cucumber on Gastritis...it might irritate it. Speaking from experience.
...and you're mixing so many things with the cabbage.
so you wont know which one is reacting negatively.
Use ONLY Cabbage or just Cabbage and apple.(or any other fruit) .So you can separate it and use only cabbage if it irritates your stomach.

I was just diagnosed with gastritis but have already been suffering with it for months. I am curious about the cabbage juice and if you made it yourself. If so, could you tell me how you made it? I am also curious, now that you are better, have you gone back to a regular diet? Thank you!

I juice it 2-3 times per day and I drink it straight. I have only been doing it for four days and I have not noticed any results yet, but I’m hoping to see some results in a few weeks
Maybe you could tell us your experience so far. I actually think it’s best not to mix the juice with anything and let it work on it’s own. No reason to dilute its effects. Just my opinion.

Hello,
I am on here as a cry for help. I have been trying to cure my gastritis for 6 years now. It all started with giardia and after receiving 2 courses of antiparasidic medication I have never been the same. I have gone from having mild gastritis, to erosion all over my stomach, and back to mild inflammation of my stomach lining. This has changed my life so drastically from weight loss to being on all kinds of meds such as zofran, dexilant, bentyle, sucralfate, and even an anti-depressant to control the stomach pain. I am sick and tired of being told stress or anxiety is causing my gastritis. I am h-pylori negative and have had 5 endoscopies, ct scan, gastro paresis tested, liquid barium tested blah blah blah blah blah. I have eliminated NSAIDS, coffee, alcohol, garlic, onions for years and I DO NOT fully heal. I found this post and I am willing to try anything; I just want my QUALITY OF LIFE BACK. Other than juicing the cabbage, would BIOTTA SAUERKRAUT JUICE be a good alternative???

Hello, Annie! I have exactly the same problem after taking Arcoxia, stomach pain, nausea, indigestion and irritated pancreas. I did numerous tests and take Nexium, domperidone, and occasionally an antidepressant. How do you feel these days? Did it get any better?

Hi, I am not doing well these days. I have not been able to work since March because of how severe my symptoms are now. I tried the cabbage and something called Dragon's Blood (tree sap) to sure my gastritis and it seemed to have worked pretty well, but then I started to get severe symptoms again. I found out I had a bacteria called Vibrio Cholerae which explained why I was getting severe stomach pain, relux, nausea and diarrhea. Thank God for the new functional medicine doctor I'm seeing that tested me because I went to 3 different hospitals that said I had nothing and refused to admit me. I have lost 15 pounds during this whole ordeal and keep loosing weight. I seem to still have severe symptoms excluding the diarrhea and my gastroenterologist is still investigating the cause. I found out 2 weeks ago my gallbladder is not contracting as it should through a HIDA test and may have to have surgery to remove it. Whats worse is my gastro says he cannot guarantee that removing it will take away my symptoms. Next week I have my 5th endoscopy and first colonoscopy and Bravo Capsule test. I am really at the end of my ropes here and I am afraid because I keep loosing weight. I am thin to begin with -now I'm 105lbs- and I don't want to waste away like this. I am not able to eat or drink much all of a sudden. I feel like I may have gastritis again or erosion that is preventing me from eating and drinking fluids normally. I feel like vomiting everything I put in my mouth, its awful. I feel so lost and alone in this.

So sorry to hear you are still straggling! Did you treat the Vibrio cholerae with antibiotics? I removed my gallbladder, but my symptoms didn't get better at all. Whatever you do, keep your gallbladder, remove it only if it has stones. Cabbage irritated me, I used the red one, though. I am on Nexium, but...crazy side effects with 40mg and 20mg don't work well. I ordered DGL and George's aloe vera. Ginger burnt me, don't even go there. I did all the tests you did, they found only gastritis, esophagitis and previous coxsakie B infection, but I think my problem stems from NSAIDs and antibiotics. I also lost weight and can't eat much. I am afraid for my life at times. I hope we find something that helps us really really soon.

Oh no! Please don't tell me that! It seems like I may have to take out my gallbladder. I am not digesting my food well at all. I guess I will find out soon enough after my endoscopy, colonoscopy, Bravo test and when I get a surgeons opinion. Why did you have your gallbladder removed?

We don't digest our food well due to our stomach, not the gallbladder. Removing the gallbladder makes digestion even worse, because the bile isn't properly stored and processed. I removed it because I had adenomyom of the gallbladder. Is your pancreas ok? Did they check your blood and urine amylase and blood lipase?
