      Hi

      just read your post!

I've had my drain insitu for 9 weeks ( not really draining now)

my biggest concern is the breathlessness

can I ask if you experienced the same?

    Thank you for your replies,

I am about 3.5 weeks out of gallbladder surgery. The doctors said it was the worse they had ever seen.

I am tired all the time, and depression is sinking in. The surgeon said I would be myself again in 2 weeks.

I was getting worried that something was wrong. I am usually a very active person even at 64 years old and used to hard exercise everyday, and all my life.

What can I do to have more energy? I can't swallow vitamins.

Thank you so much for your replies, they have helped a lot!

Hi ......I know it's too late to reply for this but I have also gone through the gall bladder removal surgery. I am far away from home. I feel so lonely sometimes when I feel weak physically. I just need someone to talk to that's why I came here.😔

I am also so glad I found these posts. I am post op gallbladder surgery just 1 week, most the pain is minimal, not even taking any thing for it now. I do have nausea on occasion but not too bad. However, I am having such extreme fatigue, along with anxiety (I've struggled with on and off for years) I probably went back to work too soon (4 days post op) but I am fortunate enough to be working from home for the last 2 1/2 years so didn't think it was a big deal, now that the pain has subsided the last three days I find myself struggling to even stay seated at my desk I'm so exhausted. Wow, was not expecting this.

It has been 2 weeks since i had gallbladder surgery... i had pancreatitis because of the gallstones. I'm exhausted and can't understand why i don't have more energy since it was supposedly a "simple surgery". I have responsibilities and think people feel I'm acting to get attention. Any suggestions??

Your body has been through a lot. It will take time to get over the anaesthetic and surgery. A lot of people think that once the gallbladder is removed, they should just bounce back and they don't give themselves time. I had open surgery 5 years ago and iI would say, it took me several weeks to recover. Look after yourself and take it easy.

Know its a bit late but I've just had my gallbladder out and done a lot of research before hand. Without a gallbladder you no longer have concentrated bile as there is nowhere to store it. This affects your bodies ability to absorb and digest fats including fatty vitamins and omega 3 so even though you are taking supplements your body is likely not absorbing enough of these as it doesn't process things like it use to. From what I've read taking ox bile/bile salt supplements can help your body to digest fats better and improve absorption of vitamins.

I'd recommend trying these out, also look at some YouTube videos about bile salt supplements as some are quite informative and go through why they help and when not to take them which may be important for some people to know.

I'm 10 weeks post op and the gym fatigues me to the point of exhaustion. I'm tired almost 24/7. I'm 26yo and have been super active in the gym for 10 plus years. has anyone found relief from this? anything would be helpful!
