    Hi Ashleigh

How are you doing. I've just this moment read your msg, I have had MS for 24 years. It started with circle of grey haze over my pupil in my right eye. For almost a year I had various tests, including an MRI scan that came back clear. The first doctor I saw was a consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Then I saw his registrars who acussed me of drinking to much. I insisted on seeing the consultant only and this request was granted. It is a very difficult illness to diagnose, but this doctor was adamant I had MS. About two years later, the legions showed on the MRI scans.

As MS is more recognisednow than it was back then, you should not be scared to see a neurologist, they are understanding doctors. They usually have MS nurses who work alongside them and they are so kind and helpful and spend the time to listen to you.

I won't lie, MS is difficult to come to terms with, but a positive outlook is a must. Give in, your body will too.

I hope your appointment goes well.
