I don't think I can cope with much more anxiety!!

Ive been on 150mg of Sertraline for 3 weeks now, it is hideous & I don't think I can take much more of the terrible anxiety, my husband says I'm all over the place, & must go back to the docs. But I'm scared too, as I desperately have to get off these hideous tablets but am frightened of more side affects. I have never been this bad in my life with anxiety it's beginning to consume me. I don't know how much more I can take.

I took Prozac for years but they took me off them as the doc didn't like me take them with a tripton tab for migraine. I'm dieing, I'm so miserable & un happy the anxiety is turning to depression, don't know what to do. Xx

My anxiety got much worse before it got better especially when up dosing. I found 100 mg did the trick. It took me a good 3 months though. Try asking your doctor for clonezepam which is a good anti anxiety Benzodiazepam which you can take to relieve the anxiety until the sertraline does its work. It really got me through the tough times. Also talking to people in the same situation helps a lot. Lots of people are here to listen.

Hi just wanted to ask you for your advice I started sertralin 50mg 2 weeks ago no side effects felt great then increased to 100mg again no side effects but the last 3 days increased anxiety and intrusive thoughts is the tablets not working?

When you increase a dose that much it will mess with your system and you will get a huge anxiety rise. Stick with the 100 mg and hopefully with in a week it will get much better. This was my experience. After my increases it also got worse a few days later. Almost like when you go to the gym. Takes a few days for the pain to really kick in.

I think that's why I'm so confused because the first few days I felt great then a few days later the anxiety is back I would of expected that when I first took it not5 days later I really appreciate you replying Thankyou

Really try to stick with it. Increasing the dose is harder I did it in 15 mg increases and even that as bad enough . A 50 mg increase is a lot for the body to handle. Message me anytime. I'm here if you just want to occupy your mind

Yes I suppose it is a big increase,I feel so anxious it's all in the back of my head and I feel a bit out of it,do you think they will work ?

The hardest part is giving the medication time to work. Take one day at a time. You need to concentrate on the end goal. If at the end of 2 weeks on the 100 mg dose you are not feeling an improvement speak to your doctor but you really do need to give it time to work. Try marking down on a calender each day how you feel from 1 to 10 and circle your 2 week goal. This will make you more encouraged to stick with it.
